200GB notebook hard drive - coming soon

The first 200GB hard drives for laptops are coming soon.

While the capacity of winchesters in the desktop market can reach up to half a TB, the maximum capacity in the notebook market is 160 GB for the time being. However, this is constantly growing, resulting in the imminent arrival of Fujitsu’s 200GB hard drive, which has been given the MHV2200BT product name and is connected to the motherboard via Serial ATA. The device consumes 1,6 W, has a search time of 1,5 ms, and supports NCQ, which increases drive speed. The expected release is in the third quarter of this year, the price is still unknown, as is whether the MHV2200BT will do 5400 or 7200 rpm.
