We tried it - iXtreamer, the digital omnipotent

It's the last page again. This may seem like a complaint, but it’s not, I like this page the most because, because of some strange reader habit, most people read the first and last pages. So we could also fill the middle section with a salad, or plagiarize from a basic workpiece suitable for a murder called War and Peace. Feel free to turn back our gentle but a bit lazy reader, we didn't do that, there is useful knowledge on the inside as well.

Now, however, we need to text the last page, so let’s get started!

I got to know a very nice structure in the iXtreamer. It is a good piece made of quality materials, and it can be used in extremely versatile ways. It can also run smoothly as a NAS, but if we want to be good, we prefer to take advantage of multimedia capabilities. I didn’t mention it in the article, but important information — in addition to being essential to using it as a NAS — is that it can also receive a SATA hard drive through a side docking slot.

The table on the previous page shows that they eat essentially any format we may need. Importantly, the iron is also strong enough to be able to play 264p content packaged in H.1080. Did I mention that 1080p 24 Hz is not an obstacle either? Of course not, it was a poetic question, I wanted to cover up the fact that I forgot about it.

The use of the device is terribly simple, and you can also speak Hungarian! Well, that's nothing to use with the term pesties. The knowledge has already been betrayed by the table and the screenshots, so at the end of the article I want to write not about this, but about the overall impression I gained during use.

Undoubtedly one of the most complex knowledge players I have come across so far. As a simple player, you know everything you need to know, but the real interesting thing isn’t that, it’s accessing online content. For movies, Youtube serves as an inexhaustible source, plus, if the bandwidth of our internet connection allows, HD content can also be accessed and played. Browsing between movies is aided by the search engine and preset profiles. I really liked that there was already a karaoke profile through which we could search the Yokeube karaoke content, and then the banza could start. Of course, more serious materials are also available. For example, we get the opportunity to watch the news of a stack of feeds, but we can also watch movie trailers or lifestyle magazines. Currently, in addition to thematic shows, we can choose from five online TV shows, which will hopefully expand later. Anyone who simply wants background noise can choose from a myriad of online radio broadcasts.

If you want to show your pictures to your friends, you don’t have to worry either, as iXtreamer can also access Picasa and Flicker photo sharing sites.

All in all, I have to say that it is a lovable, quick to get used to, so it is a tool that becomes natural in everyday life. That doesn’t sound like a big deal, but in my opinion, that’s exactly what makes a product good or bad. What we soon get used to and incorporate into our lives is good, we need it, we will love it. However, there are tools that for some reason we cannot get used to. We lack something important that we would need, or the menu is complicated, or it’s simply loud to cool.

IXtreamer is not such a structure. It is there next to the TV and in two days it has become an integral part of the apartment. I’m already thinking in advance that I’ll be able to pull it off the shelf and get it back in its box. You will definitely object and want to stay. I also want you to stay.
