We tried it - IPS monitor revolution at LG!

At the end of last year, in one of my display articles, I wrote that the novelty this year is expected to be Full LED displays. For now, it looks like I have to be disappointed, but I don't mind this at all, because instead of the Full LED we got something much better with theLG-from!

In my display articles, we have described several times that today's monitors, almost all of them, are based on TN + film panel technology. There are several reasons for this. One is that the panel is relatively inexpensive to produce, the other is that it has a good response time. THE TFTWhen panels appeared, one of the serious goals was to reduce the response time, because that was the only way these displays could become an alternative to standard CRT monitors for gamers and movie lovers.

However, the TN panel has a lot of bad features. The first is the viewing angle. Although the manufacturers describe a horizontal viewing angle of close to 170 degrees to the specifications, anyone who has seen TFT up close — I think almost everyone has seen it — knows that when viewed from a sharp angle, akijewe don’t see much of it, though, it doesn’t pamper our eyes.

The next serious problem is color fidelity. As described several times, the TN panel cannot display a physically adequate number of colors. Therefore, hso that the gradients are not ugly, manufacturers use various software tricks and image enhancement procedures. These include what works better, some that perform worse, so we recommend everyone to try it out before buying a display. We tried it - IPS monitor revolution at LG! 1

The number three much-mentioned trouble is the almost complete absence of black. It is now that W-LED illumination has become somewhat improved, if only because the LEDs can be turned on and off more easily, making dark black in black parts of the image due to turning off. Of course, this LED switching also has its drawbacks, anyone interested in the thing in a little more detail should read the display posts from the end of last year!

After so many negatives, let’s see now what panel LG’s new display has got!
