Windows 700 is already running on nearly 10 million devices

But even that is not enough against Windows 7.

According to statistics, the Windows 200 user base has grown by 10 million in the past year, now reaching almost 700 million. While this is a pretty nice number, Microsoft was hoping for even more; it was previously planned that the operating system should now be present on 1 billion devices.

Looking at NetMarketShare data, we can also see that there is still room for improvement: Windows 7 still leads 43,57% ahead of Windows 10, which is 33,81% second. It is possible that without the Chinese market, we would see slightly different numbers, as Windows 7 is extremely popular there - the Chinese government and a significant number of users do not trust the new system. 

In our opinion, Windows 10 will achieve a really serious breakthrough after 2020, when the extended support for Windows 7 will expire.
