Xiaomi Mijia VDW0401M, smart dishwasher has arrived

The Xiaomi Mijia VDW0401M is an extremely compact structure that won’t replace traditional under-the-counter machines, but may be enough for a smaller household.

The machine received an extremely clean design from Xiaom. The controls are located at the front and top of the tiny machine, of course you can adjust everything via the touch screen.

Thanks to the compact dimensions mentioned in the introduction, the machine does not need to be installed anywhere, it can also be placed on the counter. Based on the external dimensions (width 442 mm, height 461,5 mm, depth 419 mm), it can be assumed that too many pots, especially larger pots, will not fit. The manufacturer says it can hold up to 32 dishes waiting to be washed, but we accept that with some suspicion. Based on the images, this amount will only fit if smaller bowls or cups are used.

What is unlikely to go wrong is efficiency. At Xiaomin, care is taken to keep the usability impeccable. Washing dishes can be done with six different programs, including everything from quick washing to intensive cleaning. The shortest wash lasts 28 minutes, while the water temperature is 55 degrees. If the dishes are very dirty, you can choose the intensive mode, which is more than two hours long and the water temperature reaches 75 degrees.

Since we are talking about a Xiaomi product, I think that no one will be surprised by the fact that the dishwasher also has a Wi-Fi connection. And if it has Wi-Fi, it will not be surprising that it is a "smart" dishwasher that can be integrated into the Xiaomi smart home ecosystem via the Xiaomi Home phone application.

Who is the machine recommended for? As I wrote above, due to its small size, it can be found mostly in smaller households. Although, according to the manufacturer's materials, it serves a family of four, this can only be imagined with great benevolence or by running several programs every day. I think it is worth buying for up to two people or places where the kitchen is very small and there is no way to accommodate another dishwasher.

In the end, the price will deter many from buying. Fortunately, it's just a pre-order for the time being, so we can hope that we'll get it cheaper after the delivery starts, because the purchase price of $ 390, which is roughly 144 thousand forints, makes its purchase pointless. So if there will be a better offer we will write more about the machine.
