Introductory

Those who know me know that I love motorcycling, even going on hikes for several weeks. Because of this, I then collect a bunch of gadgets that don’t take up much space, but can occasionally pull you out of trouble. To say the least, I always have a handful of quick binders, though, it’s not so much a gadget category.

I’ve been looking at electric, small pumps (or what’s called a compressor?) For a while, with which I can inflate the wheel of my engine, bike, or even my car without an external power source. I confess, I wanted a Xiaomi first, but then I caught my eye on the subject of the test.

The Baseus is also a daughter of Xiaomi, so the quality is expected to be good here as well, the price of the machine is essentially the same as Xiaomi's gadget with similar knowledge, but the battery in it is 20 percent more capacity. Based on the description, it will be good for everything I plan for, so then I bought it, because the motorcycle season is coming soon!

Packaging and exterior

The gadget comes in a relatively simple box that weighs a lot of weight compared to its size. Of course, this is no wonder, as it has a compressor in it, though not too big, but 610 grams.

In the box, outside the gadget, you will find a short rubber tube, one end of which can be attached to the pump and the other to the valve. We get a USB Type-C charging cable and next to it three heads that we can use to inflate a mattress, a beach ball or a basketball / football ball, for example.

No other. Maybe even a simpler bag would have fit, but it didn't work out. Sebaj!

The Baseus mini compressor has a round metal cover, plastic at the bottom and top. At the beginning you will find the buttons that can be used for control and a display, and at the top you will find the threaded part where you can wind the rubber tube, the Type-C charging connector and a flashlight. There is another hole next to these, we can plug the other end of the rubber tube here when not in use.

The structure is otherwise friendly in size, only 78 x 140 millimeters in the metal block as I wrote the weight of 610 grams. On both sides of the metal block there are ventilation, cooling openings along their entire length.

Based on the exterior, the stuff is convincing, the materials are good, the assembly is exemplary, and because of the size it fits in the palm of your hand, so we can keep it in hand while we pump the wheel.

Knowledge

Let's start with the paper form!

150 PSI is specified as the maximum pressure in the factory data, but this means only the measurable pressure. If we want to pump, 120 PSI is the maximum value, but I think that will be enough for pretty much everyone. To say the least, the pressure required is roughly 35 PSI (2,4 bar) for cars and 116 PSI (8 bar) for trucks. So you see, this widget will suit almost everyone.

It is important to note that above 150 PSI (~ 10 bar) the pressure sensor can be damaged, so at higher pressures we will not attempt to measure!

It is also important to note that although the stuff has received normal cooling, the manufacturer recommends resting the structure for five minutes after 10 minutes of use.

The built-in 2400 mAh battery is charged via the USB Type-C port, the total charge is approx. It takes 4-5 hours. With one charge, according to factory data, we can inflate roughly 9 car tires, 17 motorcycle tires or 54 basketballs. The only icing on the cake is that almost every car already has a USB port or a USB port cigarette lighter charger, so we can even recharge it if it is depleted.

Let's go through the buttons, while I can tell you what the machine knows!

You can switch it on with the M key. After switching on, by pressing this M button we can select whether it will be the car, motorcycle, bicycle or ball we want to inflate.

By holding down the M key, you can select the unit in which you want to see the pressure. This is useful because sometimes one, sometimes the other is marked on the side of the tires, we will not confuse the magnitude of the pressure with this function.

Once you have selected the unit of measure and what you want to inflate, you can press OK and the fun can begin!

The other side of the rubber tube is wound on the valve, in which case the zeros immediately disappear and the pressure in the wheel (ball) is seen according to the selected unit of measurement. With the + and - buttons you can now set how hard you want to inflate the rubber (ball).

When we are done with this, another pressure is pressed on OK and the pumping starts. If you want, you can also stop it manually with the OK button, but if you have set the pressure well in advance, you can let it work when it reaches the desired value, it will switch off automatically.

Of course, we can also monitor everything on the display in the meantime. On a small pictogram we can see that car, motorcycle, bike or ball is the selected mode, we can see the battery charge and we can also see the current pressure as well as the unit of measure by which we blow the wheel (ball).

I think we can safely say that slap is easy to use!

I haven’t talked about a button yet, and that handles the flashlight. The lamp has three functions. The first flashes smoothly, flashes at the second, and flashes SOS at the third.

Use and experience

This is going to be a short chapter now because I have nothing to write. As you have read above, setting up and operating trees is easy. The display shows everything, even in the scorching sun, you can read the values, but still shade the real thing.

I hadn’t blew a car tire with it yet, I was just checking the pressure. In the first round, I inflated the base wheels of all my purchased electric bikes. These are recommended up to a maximum of 30 PSI, I pumped 25 into them.

Me, I accidentally wrote that bazi wheels, it’s a FAT bike whose tires are bigger than the front wheel of my 800cc touring bike. So, in that sense, it’s more of an engine than a bike.

They let go of enough pressure, they had 11 PSI at the back and 7,5 PSI at the front. Inflation of the two wheels, including valve twisting, was no more than ten minutes. During this time, the compressor in my hand did not warm up at all.

Then I even inflated the wheel of my traditional bike, which didn’t have a gram of air in it anymore (I think I should take a look). It took a few minutes to inflate the much smaller tire.

Of course, in both cases I pre-set the pressure on the pump to try turning off this okay. Turned off.

The manufacturer points out that it has managed to reduce noise by 20 percent compared to previous structures. I couldn’t check that, let’s say, but the compressor didn’t seem loud. Let’s just say secondary to the noise I think, the point is to make it work.

Summary

I described everything. The Baseus pump delivers what you expect in quality and knowledge. Obviously, I can’t report on long-term reliability yet, because what I had to inflate at home I inflated, there’s no other thing yet.
