Wilma and Betty are the new children of SonyEricsson

SonyEricsson has announced the latest gem in the walkman mobile series, the W830i, which is expected to be unveiled to the general public in March this year.

The mobile phone, currently still codenamed Betty, is expected to debut at CeBIT 2006 in Hanover. The device resembles the design of the W810i in appearance, but is a bit more modern, clearer and more restrained. However, in terms of features, it does not fully meet the expectations of the category, because although the 2-megapixel autofocus camera, GPRS, as well as EDGE has been replaced in the phone, 3G is still lacking unfortunately.

According to unofficial sources, the successor to the k750i, known only as Wilma, is already in the pipeline. For the time being, all you know about the technical specifications is that it will support Stereo Bluetooth connectivity, a 3,2 megapixel camera, 466 MB of built-in memory, and is also suitable for video calling.
