Wireless stereo headset for Walkman

Sony Ericcson has announced its first HiFi stereo headset that communicates via Bluetooth.

In addition to its soon-to-be-released W950i music phone, Sony Ericcson recommends the HBH-DS970, which, thanks to its Bluetooth 2.0 capabilities, delivers the signals it receives with excellent quality comparable to its wired peers.

Weighing only 27 grams, the device is also a remote control, with which you can access all the functions of the Walkman software. The receiving unit is also equipped with a display, from which the address of the currently playing number can be read, and in case of an incoming telephone call, the ID of the other party can be read.

Sony Ericcson promises a built-in battery of 300 hours of standby time and 6 hours of operating time. This is fair considering the light weight, but it is a bit small compared to the W950i’s 10-hour playback time. Hopefully, this shortcoming will disappear later.
