A-Tech Fabrication presents a "silent killer" without a fan

A-Tech Fabrication - who specialize specifically in handmade HTPC - has recently come up with a very remarkable device. And this is the HeatSync 1200 without active cooling.

Naturally, then, the question arises in everyone - rightly - how was the cooling mechanism solved? The situation looks like the following picture, which in advance allows this fanless design of the aluminum housing itself. This in itself conducts the heat perfectly to the ribbed area on the side of the appliance where the cooling process itself takes place. However, to make sure that the system does not overheat in any way, some of the key components are also dissipated by the ribs to the ribbed surface mentioned above.

Now let’s turn to what’s in this little “box” that could give you a reason to be a popular visitor in our living room. The HeatSync 1200 builds on the Intel DH61AG thin mini-ITX motherboard, in which a Core i3-2100T heart beats at 2,5 GHz per core clock. The system memory is 4 GB Corsair Vengeance SO DIMM in the basic configuration, but you can request twice as much as an option. Also part of the standard configuration is Intel’s 40 gigabyte SSD - which, like memory, is available at twice that capacity.

In addition to several useful optional accessories, for example, you can request a dock on top of HeatSync for your favorite bitten apple smartphone. The start date of the release is not yet known, only that it will be available in the U.S. market at a suggested retail price of $ 1399.
