There are more miracles coming with DirectX 12 for Windows 7!

Surely not many people expected this, however, the developers of Blizzard thought that Windows 7 is proving to be such an important factor even today that it is worth bringing this low-level API to it. Indeed, according to a Net Applications survey, Windows 7 still rips 36,9% out of the imaginary cake, just behind Windows 10 (39,22 percent). On the other hand, it's definitely worth keeping in mind that Microsoft will take its hands off the system in January 2020 (a good 11 years after its release, that's not very surprising), which by definition doesn't promise much good in terms of security!

The Redmond mammoth surprisingly writes that we will soon be able to run more DirectX 12 games on Windows 7. In conclusion, they add that you might want to upgrade anyway, because under Windows 10, that application might be even faster.

Of course, the low-level API may bring some acceleration this time as well, but we haven’t received any information on the extent of this, so we’ll have to wait for the first tests to come out.
