A handset hasn’t arrived yet, but for the most part, the much-anticipated phones are already lined up on store shelves.

Introductory

Xiaomi delights us with an ever-widening range. Everything from the cheapest category to top phones can be found on offer. These phones have a definitely similar quality, even that offered by Xiaomi. Sometimes you can find similar hardware cheaper at an emerging manufacturer, but it is certain that big brands like Samsung, Xiaomi phones are cheaper and at least, if not better quality, offer more features.

Speaking of our article, this year’s offering is essentially complete, with the successor to every major device except one, the Xiaomi Mi MAX 3. We already know the capabilities of this, it has been added to the web stores, so we can request notification of the arrival. So the MAX 3 is already stumbling on the doorstep, but the others are here. You can buy the flagship Mi 8, the A2 with great cameras, and of course the Mi MIX 2S for lovers of notch phones. There’s also a special phone like the Black Shark for gamers, but let’s leave that for now, it’s just made for curiosity and a very tight layer.

What’s also interesting is that, as usual at Xiaomi, the next entry-level models in the six-series also ran out by the end of the summer, so we’re not even dealing with the five-series. Let's see this year's offer!

It is important to note that the phones in this article may be purchased with a different memory and storage configuration than the copies in this article, so the price can vary greatly downwards or upwards. Xiaomi Redmi 6A

As you can see, this phone already represents the six series. This is the lowest of the offerings that the hardware shows. Four-core, 2 GHz processors, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of ROMs await us, which, let’s not beautify, can be said to be very dewy these days. The cameras are at least average, we find a 13 megapixel solution at the back.

It also has the advantage of being small in size compared to today’s conditions. The diagonal is only 5,45 inches, and if you add that the aspect ratio is 18: 9, you can immediately see that the width of the phone is reminiscent of the old days.

There is no other relevant information. It has wifi, Bluetooth and GPS, supports the domestic B20 800 MHz LTE band.

We recommend its purchase to those who do not want to spend more than 30 forints on the phone, but insist on Xiaomi quality.

Xiaomi Redmire 6

Nowadays, the phone starts here. It’s a pleasure to finally get not last year’s model in a new outfit, but to get a whole new phone.

The central unit is MediaTek's lower-middle-class eight-core chip, the Helio P22, which already has 3 GB of memory and 32 GB of storage on board, so we're talking a usable mobile phone. The display here is also 5,45 inches, the resolution here is also HD +. An important difference compared to the cheapest mobile on the list is that on the back we can no longer find one, but two cameras, these are 12 and 5 megapixels.

The Xiaomi Redmi 6 is a member of the six-series that I already really dare to offer for purchase. True, the price is a bit tighter, at the current exchange rate we have to pay 40 thousand forints for it.

Xiaomi Redmi S2

The S2 is essentially unprecedented in the company’s offering. It crept in front of the Note series as a sort of mule solution. The size is larger than the two cheaper phones, it’s already 5,99 inches, the CPU is already an eight-core Snapdragon.

Apart from this, the additional capabilities are similar to the Redmi 6, as the RAM and Rom sizes here are also 3- and 32 GB, and the camera units are based on the data the same as those found in the cheaper phone.

If larger size isn’t a problem for you, I’d definitely recommend this rather than the Redmi 6. The price is only minimally more, but the Snapdragon central chip is faster in terms of both processor and integrated video controller.

Xiaomi Note 5 Redmire

The Note series has been the middle class in the Xiaomi family. This is also evident in the phone’s specification, as the more modern Snapdragon 636 has already been included with its eight cores and 1,8 GHz clock. The memory here is also 3 GB, the built-in storage is 32 GB, so there is no difference. It is important to note, however, that this phone is no longer HD + but FHD + resolution, meaning we can stare at 1080 x 2160 pixels on its display.

There is also a difference in the field of cameras, namely the front camera. The Note 5 is already a member of the Xiaomi selfie phone series, and they have in common a strong front panel camera blessed with good capabilities. In this case, it means a 13 megapixel sensor. On the back, the already familiar 12 + 5 megapixel combo works.

They are already asking for the price of this iron, it is true that it is a much better buy than the domestic offer, especially the phones that can be bought through service providers.

Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite

Here’s a phone that I don’t think should have been given the name A2.

This is a very new phone, we also wrote a detailed review of it, so now I will not elaborate on the capabilities. The point is that we get a device that is essentially the same as the Xiaomi Redmi S2 with a higher resolution display. Slussz. In our opinion, this difference does not justify the difference seen in the price, but we do not want to discourage anyone from buying. One thing’s for sure, don’t buy it because it’s an A2, not that, just in its name.

Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus

The Plus obviously means that this phone is something more than the Redmi 5. Even so, it has a larger display and a higher screen resolution.

The central unit is a Snapdragon with eight cores and a speed of 2 GHz, the memory is now a decent 4GB and the storage is 64GB, so it’s already a really good device to use. Unfortunately, it doesn’t emboss so well in the field of cameras, with only a 12-megapixel sensor at the back. We mentioned the display above, which is the usual 5,99 inch solution in this mobile with FHD +, i.e. 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution.

I recommend it mostly to those for whom the camera is less important, but the amount of RAM and ROM is important. The display too, so you won't be disappointed with this phone either.

Xiaomi Mi A2 / 6X

I hope you didn’t click on the link on the previous phone and didn’t buy it. If so you did well, because not much more here is the real Xiaomi Mi A2!

We don’t separate the two phones, the A2 and the 6X, because the hardware is the same, only the software differs. The former got pure Android and the latter the interface of Xiaomi MIUI.

Importantly, bitang good cameras, strong and modern central unit came into this phone. The memory here is 4 GB, but the storage is only 32 GB, but this is less important, or if it is for you, you can look for a more expensive version of it, with 128 GB of built-in storage. However, you will not buy this phone because of this, but because of the cameras!

Xiaomi Mi 8 SE

This is the small flagship, i.e. the Mi 8 version blessed with lightweight hardware. It’s relieved, but we’re saying that in terms of price-performance, this better buy isn’t the bigger brother, the Mi 8. Bottom line, the Mi 8 S + is a very well-hit device. The hardware is strong, good, but rather with just an average rear-end but outstanding front-facing camera. If you are looking for a strong phone, but you have set the upper limit of HUF 100, this will be what you need - even if it costs not 100- but 102 thousand due to the current exchange rate).

Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S

The MIX 2 has become a good phone, but not good enough. Because of this, barely half a year after its introduction, an improved version, the MIX 2S, arrived, with stronger hardware and better cameras. In our opinion, one of the most successful phones of this year is the S2, which unfortunately is also reflected in its price. Surely, if we want that, we have to open the mouth of our wallet wide. The only thing that can comfort us is that a Samsung with similar knowledge still costs a lot more, even though it doesn’t even have a ceramic back. So I would definitely stay with S2!

Xiaomi Mi 8

We have reached the top mobile in Xiaomi’s offering. The Mi 8 has been good in every way, we just don’t like the notch, i.e. the peninsula that extends to the top of the screen. Of course, it's just a matter of taste, maybe that's exactly the layout that comes to you.

What’s for sure, if you buy this phone, for a long time, let’s say for years, you won’t have a problem with either speed or quality. Excellent cameras, AMOLED display, lots of RAM and ROM, everything you need for salvation. So you can choose to buy a mid-range model for half that, then next year, but in two years at the latest, you’ll be betting that you should have more, or you’ll buy this and use it twice as long without any problems. I would definitely do the latter, of course, if the frame were on it.

Xiaomi Mi MAX 3

The phone is not yet available at the time of writing, but we already know essentially all the details about it. We also wrote a more tutorial about it to have something to touch on later.
