Samsung’s latest Neo QLED and Lifestyle TVs have earned the “EyeCare Circadian” certification from the German Verband Deutscher Elektrotechniker (VDE), which recognizes visual comfort and supports natural circadian rhythms. This recognition reinforces the company’s commitment to developing convenient, health-conscious technologies.
“This certification confirms that our TVs not only deliver cutting-edge picture quality on their screens, but also reduce visual strain with eye-friendly features,” said Taeyong Son, executive vice president of Samsung’s Visual Display Business. He added that Samsung’s goal is to continuously innovate and offer devices that elevate the user experience to a new level while also adapting to the natural rhythms of the human body.
The certification covers several key devices in the Neo QLED and Lifestyle models, such as the stylish The Frame and Serif televisions. To receive the award, the TVs were evaluated based on six criteria: eye safety, eye comfort, flicker-free, uniformity, color fidelity, and the circadian stimulus index.
Found on Samsung TVs Eye protection mode automatically adjusts brightness and color temperature based on the time of day and ambient light conditions. This not only provides daytime comfort, but also contributes to creating a relaxing evening environment, supporting the body's natural rhythm - which is perhaps the best thing that could have happened to the relationship between screens and sleep.
This certification is just another recognition for Samsung TVs. Previously, VDE has highlighted circadian rhythm support for other models, while some of the Lifestyle TVs received a special award for their anti-glare design. In addition, the Neo QLED series has also received the Pantone Verified award, which praises color accuracy.
Samsung has once again proven that technological advancements are not just about image quality, but also about the well-being of users. And when you combine this with eye-friendly technology and stylish design, it's just icing on the cake.
