Samsung Galaxy S with faster processor
The Galaxy S arrives in Russia with a 1.4 GHz processor.
A Samsung has also officially announced the turbocharged version of the Galaxy S, the Galaxy S Plus. The manufacturer is targeting Russia with the device.
Compared to the sleek Galaxy S, the main change is the Qualcomm MSM1.4T processor ticking at 8255 GHz. The promises are that the CPU with a higher clock speed will not consume more than the previous one operating at 1 GHz. 3D acceleration is provided by the Adreno 205 GPU. The screen has not changed, leaving the 4-inch Super AMOLED display. The novelty with Android version 2.3 will arrive on the shelves of Russian stores in May at a price of 539 euros (approximately 145 forints). The price seems pretty high, especially considering that the Galaxy S II will arrive in May at a much higher price as well.
