Penryn's wafer from the IDF

Intel is hosting an Intel Developer Forum (IDF) in Beijing.

Here they got the wafer for the lens, which already carries Intel Penryn cores.

From the Penryn core, we know that it will be an improved version of the current Core 2 processors, made at 45 nanometers. The smaller bandwidth also means a smaller core size, in addition to increasing the current 4 MB cache to 6 MB. Penryn will be a dual-core solution similar to the current Core 2, but will also be built on a quad-core CPU, as will the current Core 2 core. This means two cores per enclosure according to current practice.
