Introductory

I’ve been moving slowly on a technical track for 40 years, writing articles about all kinds of gadgets for 21 years, but my knife broke into this coffee maker.

I wanted to write a thorough article that goes well around the topic, but I realized it wouldn’t be enough to read afterwards, this profession, I mean coffee making, has to be practiced in order to do it really well.

So, to be honest, I had to give up my plan to write about coffee making, so this article is just about a coffee maker, from the “pen” of a person who knows what good coffee is, appreciates good coffee, but what makes it good, I guess at most.

That is, this article is written by an amateur, hopefully mostly for amateurs, about a coffee maker that can be used to make espresso-quality espresso at home without any knowledge.

Packaging, accessories

We came to know Blitzwolf years ago as a manufacturer of earphones and smaller speakers. Over time, however, the portfolio has expanded a bit. Gamer stuff, soundbars, chairs, watches, cameras have arrived, and home appliances have arrived this year as well.

I’ve had quite a lot of Blitzwolf stuff before, a lot of everything came for my own use, there were things I got to test, but one thing I can say about each one, they were super quality compared to the goods.

That’s why I also dared to buy this coffee maker, which I intended to replace my old, army, but chattering machine.

The machine box was given the usual green and white Blitzwolf colors. Inside, in addition to the coffee machine, relatively few accessories await us. A description (no Hungarian language, but you don't need so much), a dosing spoon, a filter included, in one arm. No other.

The water tank, the drip tray is already waiting for us in the machine.

Commissioning, use

As a first step, remove the nylon and the adhesive tapes that secure the various parts during shipping. Once we’re done with that, it’s naturally appropriate to wash the machine. I washed every removable piece, the water tank in particular, and then brewed a few servings of coffee.

Then came the first espresso I drank!

The use of the machine does not require a technical vein. On the water tank we can see how much is the maximum we can fill, if it is there, the tank can go to the back of the machine.

The machine can make one or two servings of coffee, for which we get a separate filter, so there is no need to measure the coffee. One tablespoon is one serving, that's exactly what fits in the single-dose filter, the double-dose and double.

The lever can be turned a little hard with the filter at first, but it will be easier over time, you don't have to be afraid of it. I note I’ve come across a cook that required more muscle even after running in.

On the machine display we find a numeric part and we find five buttons. They are touch sensitive, so you don’t have to force them.

You can turn it on with the middle button. After switching on, we have to wait until the light of the buttons changes from flashing to continuous, this indicates that the machine has warmed up and coffee can be made.

The first button can be used to brew two servings of coffee with the second. On the other side of the switch, the fourth button can be used to start the pay manually, and we can also stop it manually, so we can make long coffee. The fifth button is steaming, foaming.

The latter will, of course, be needed for milky coffee drinks such as cappuccino. It also has a warm-up time, so if we want to use it, we have to wait here after pressing until the light from flashing becomes continuous.

An important thing by the end of the chapter!

The amount of water for cooking one and two portions can be programmed on the machine. After switching on, press and hold the button, it will start flashing after a while. The coffee starts at one pressure and stops at the second. The time between the two pressures will be what the coffee maker will use for every brew from now on. This can, of course, be changed later using the method described.

Experiences

I should explain here what makes a coffee maker good, but I’m not going to go into that. I had to realize that making coffee is pretty much like making wine, making brandy. A lot of people understand it, and relatively many people pursue the craft with almost fanatical precision.

I understand them, it’s no longer a hobby, it’s almost an art.

However, I am not one of those people. I am not particularly interested in the chemistry of alkalizing coffee, it is enough if I know that hot water is needed. I don’t care exactly what pressure the coffee will be best at, it’s enough to know that with the rattles around 1 bar you can make something appreciable with great care.

I also know that large espresso machines work at 8-9 bars and also that machines intended for home use but already better can handle 15 bars. Moreover, I also discovered that the more expensive category already has a pressure of 20 bar.

To this, someone in our Facebook group wrote that not only is this amount of pressure unnecessary, but also bad because it squeezes your coffee cake. I don't argue with that either.

One of the characteristics of a good espresso coffee is crema, i.e. hard foam. As I read it doesn't matter what. I mean, there’s when there’s foam, but it’s not crema, it’s just because of the booster basket. Nor do I object to that, I have no idea.

However, as I wrote in the introduction, one thing I know for sure is that the coffee I drink is good or not. Or rather, I say it tastes good or not.

Well, the Blitzwolf machine should be good in terms of paper form. 1100 watts of power and a pressure of 20 bar are two figures that put the machine in the more expensive category. But, (and I believe this to the experts) that doesn’t mean the machine is really good and you can make really good coffee with it.

So to decide if the machine is good or bad there is a way like pudding, you have to try it!

Well, of course I tried it! The result didn’t surprise me, I was hoping it would be good. That's it!

Sometimes, I could make quite good-tasting coffee with my chatter, but I think that’s the most I can say about the brown liquid that came out of it. The Blitzwolf machine, on the other hand, makes coffee, real espresso, like the one I drink in cafes, in a better place. It’s a creamy, juicy, tasty drink with a hard foam on it that I have no idea whether it’s crema or not, all I know is that it can’t feel much better.

I’ve been drinking coffee in many places, in many countries. Anyone who goes to Italy knows that almost anywhere we can sit, espresso becomes espresso, latte is latte, and cappuccino is cappuccino, just the way it should be. In Italy, coffee is an almost disappointing genre.

Well, now it’s not just in Italy, but in my kitchen as well.

I tried the three drinks I mentioned most often, all of which became impeccable to me. Sure, he could be involved in these, too, but making coffee is just that.

For sure, the Blitzwolf machine seems to me to be a good choice, as I am able to make coffee without any serious skills, for which it is already appropriate to sit down, sip, enjoy every sip.

Fortunately, the Blitzwolf machine is not expensive, at least among the similarly available machines available at home. We can get it with a coupon for less than 30 thousand forints, and we can also order it from a Polish warehouse, so neither customs nor VAT, and the delivery time is as long as buying from China.

If you’re wondering what coffee making with the machine looks like, check out the video tutorial at the beginning of this article.

If you liked the machine, use the coupon code BGHU0380 to buy it, you can buy it for 27 thousand forints by clicking on the link below:
