Mozilla is getting big!

One of the foundation's engineers, Emily Kager, shared on Twitter that the development of the Android version of Firefox will go into "maintenance" mode in the second half of the year, meaning new features aren't really coming, instead only bug fixes or security issues are expected. There is nothing to worry about, this growing season is only for this year, as we can look forward to a major change next year, which Mozilla does not want to talk about right now. What is certain is that programmers are already working hard on this, and it makes sense that a little “break” is expected this year.

Let’s face it, this is just pure speculation from here; in our opinion, the new Firefox is Android components it will be the fruit. With the Android library, Mozilla can unify its current browsers (Firefox Focus / Firefox Klar, Firefox Rocket, Firefox for Fire TV), which would dramatically simplify development for a robotic system. Whatever it is, it’s sure to engage programmers this year.

Firefox for Android users have nothing special to do, they can continue browsing with complete peace of mind because, of course, they will still receive security fixes. At most, they will notice so much change that they will come across few substantive innovations from now on.
