Hewlett-Packard apparently can't find its place, several CEOs have taken turns at the company in recent years, but none really knew what to do at the helm of HP. Now here's the next candidate.

Under the leadership of Leo Apotheker, a seemingly fatal chaos has developed over the past less than a year. Apotheker did not spend a year in an HP executive position, during which time the price of the company’s securities was halved. The constant suffering with WebOS and the announcement that they are looking for a buyer for the PC business while in this segment, even with low profits, are towering as high as a 30% market sales. The weakening following the latter announcement was mainly due to the fact that the value of the company's securities halved compared to the highest market value of the year. They are trying to stop the company’s cane run with a change of leader, so Apothekert has now been replaced by Meg Whitman.
Meg Whitman served as CEO of eBay for ten years from 1998, after which she ran for the California governor election, but dropped the position against Jerry Brown. It is not known how he was elected, since he is not free from dubious matters either. The biggest blunder was the acquisition of Skype, even though something like that didn’t fit into eBay’s profile, either then or now. They later bought from the chat company at a huge loss. But this is the past; and investors probably welcomed Whitman’s arrival. Of course, this cannot be stated, it may be that the rise in share prices was triggered by the departure of Apotheker.
Meg Whitman made optimistic statements in her first speech, which is not surprising for a new leader. Importantly, however, he rejected the idea of abandoning WebOS and, in fact, will do their utmost to make the most of it, as he is still on the design table and ready to deploy in several areas, at least, he said. In any case, we expect the fate of HP and Whitman to develop, in this situation that can be called grim.
