Multimedia smartphone trio from Nokia: N72, N73, N93

The new phones are packed one by one with modern technology waiting for enthusiastic shoppers with thick wallets.

Nokia N72 - The music player

The smallest member of the new series is the 2,1-inch S176 smartphone with a resolution of 208 × 262 and a display of 60 colors. It also supports tri-band, EDGE-enabled, and Bluetooth 2.0. It has 20 MB of built-in memory, which can be expanded with an SD card.

The multimedia capabilities are built primarily around music playback, the phone can play MP3 and AAC, and it also supports Visual Radio technology developed by Nokia and HP, with which the channel you are currently listening can bombard us with capable commercials, of course only if you have the right equipment. .

With a 2-megapixel, bright CIF camera, you can capture images in still or moving form at up to 15 frames per second.

Nokia N73 - The camera

Like its smaller sibling, the N73 is built on the S60 system. It has a 2,4-inch display with 262 colors, 3G support, and what’s more, it will be available in a UMTS version. The 42 megabytes of built-in memory can be expanded with a mini-SD standard.

The music capabilities are virtually the same as the N72, even a little more, as they are equipped with 3D speakers (?) - though, we don't find dedicated music buttons here. Instead, there are dedicated photo buttons (in a strikingly similar layout to the Sony Ericcson W800) that let you control the autofocus, 3,2-megapixel, Carl Zeiss optical camera with mechanical shutter (!). You can also upload shared images directly to the web.

The phone is shown at the bottom of the image.

Nokia N93

The clear top model in the convertible N93 category. An EDGE / 3G / UMTS device that, like the N73, has a 2,4-inch, 262k color display.

With 50 megabytes of built-in memory and expandable mini-SD, the product also supports little things like a 3-megapixel camera with triple optical zoom that can also record MPEG-30 video at 4 frames per second. Similarly, built-in WiFi and UPnP support is hardly worth mentioning.

The three new devices are expected to hit the market in July, three months from now. Prices are not known yet, but knowing your skills is better not to guess.
