It is based on the AMD FX-2015P system chip, which was introduced in 8800.

Our readers have a good idea, this is not a Zen-based solution yet, the microarchitecture is provided by Excavator, which uses a modular structure. The quad-core CPU can still be viable nonetheless, as it incorporates an integrated Radeon 15 GPU with 512 shaders despite its amazingly low power consumption of just 7 watts. Thanks to the latter, the board can drive up to 4K displays, although it doesn’t necessarily mean you have to think about games here. By the way, the Excavator was developed primarily for laptops, thanks to which, despite the modest TDP, the maximum clock speed of the chip can be up to 3,40 GHz - the basic operating frequency is 2 MHz.

As you can see in the image above, the board has two DIMM slots, which can be offered with up to 32 GB of memory. We don't have to pay much attention to the tempo of DDR4 modules, because the supported clock is only 2 MHz, and this will undoubtedly be easy to achieve. The BIOSTAR A133N-10E is equipped with essentially everything you expect (USB 8800 Gen 3.1, SATA1, PCI-e M.3), maybe there could still be a DVI port on it, but at least VGA and HDMI are not left behind. Once you’re here, let’s quickly run through the list of “must-have supplies”:

  • Realtek ALC887 sound generator;
  • 1 × PS / 2 mouse, 1 × PS / 2 keyboard, 2 × USB 3.1 Gen1, 2 × USB2.0, 1 × HDMI, 1 × VGA, 1 × LAN and 3 × audio motherboard output;
  • LAN surge protection as well as ESD, OV / OT protection.

Needless to say, the board in Mini ITX format stands out primarily as an HTPC, possibly as a “download machine”; We cannot expect brutal performance from it, but in return the energy demand of the system based on it will certainly be low.
