Using MUSES 01 operational amplifiers manufactured by New Japan Radio Co. Ltd., it emits even stronger, more resolute and more vibrant sounds to meet the expectations of even the most serious hi-fiers. The product retains the concept of interchangeable operational amplifiers and features special features such as WIMA capacitors, linear power supply, XLR connectors, balanced 8x upsampling, a separate 600-ohm headphone amplifier and 120 decibel signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). The Xonar Essence One MUSES Edition provides further evidence that ASUS Xonar products are at the forefront of combining audiophile hardware and PC multimedia.
Xonar Essence products have received a very positive response from both the Hi-Fi fan community and the trade press, primarily for the design of a removable operational amplifier that helps with personalization. The Xonar Essence One MUSES Edition is the result of a close collaboration between Xonar sound engineers and one of the world’s most respected Hi-Fi component manufacturers: a high-end USB DAC that pushes the boundaries of the market. Xonar’s sound engineers chose the MUSES 01 operational amplifiers because of their impressive sound: these components deliver crystal-clear sound that satisfies even the most demanding Hi-Fi fans. While preparing the ASUS Xonar Essence One hardware for MUSES 01 operational amplifiers, engineers worked tirelessly to optimize sound reproduction.

Operational amplifiers (also called op-amp in Hungarian) are used to amplify analog signals and, in this connection, to influence sound, tone and tones. The MUSES 01 components are famous for being the first to use oxygen-free internal copper connections, resulting in better conduction and thus more accurate sound reproduction. The company uses special manufacturing technologies, such as a unique insert mounting process called Advanced Symmetry Die-Bonding, which reduces crosstalk between parts and results in a more balanced left-to-right channel symmetry. This is one of the key elements behind the wider sound space provided by Xonar Essence One MUSES Edition.
In addition to high-end MUSES 01 operational amplifiers, Xonar Essence hardware also uses a number of other solutions that are specifically audiophile in nature. Symmetrical, eight-way, 32-bit upsampling and a built-in 600-ohm headphone amplifier all enhance the personal enjoyment of sounds. The internal linear power supply provides excellent voltage control, and noise reduction is also aided by Hyper Grounding technology. The result: an impressive 120 decibel signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). As far as capacitors are concerned, Xonar Essence USB DACs utilize German WIMA components, which are also appreciated by Hi-Fi fans. For fully balanced XLR and single-ended outputs, engineers included optical, S / PDIF, and USB inputs with asynchronous data transfer for low jitter (time scatter of digital signals relative to the ideal schedule). As a result of all these features, Xonar Essence products deliver balanced, truly lifelike sounds.
