The second generation of Xiaomi's robotic vacuum cleaner has arrived
His name is Roborock, and the new robot knows a lot.
Xiaomi today announced its new smart machine, designed for one of Xiaomi’s sub-brands, Roborock. The novelty thus did not get the expected Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum Cleaner, the English name became Roborock Sweep One. This new vacuum cleaner has much better features than its predecessor. Improved performance, improved cleaning functions and a lot of built-in sensors.
The manufacturer says water cleaning is one of the most important innovations. For the system to work, the sample was taken from nature, the vacuum cleaner uses a bionic wet traction system, whatever that means. To be sure, the floor-wiped cloth is attached to the bottom of the water tank and can perform wet cleaning with the contents of the water tank for up to 45-60 minutes. The water is sucked back by the machine and filtered through a Teflon-coated filter that is washable, replacing it once a year.
Xiaomi’s robotic vacuum cleaner is equipped with a laser sensor that can scan the room 360 degrees, and the data received is processed by the company’s own special algorithm. Based on the data, Roborock Sweep One builds a room map and plans the cleaning route in real time. In this way, you decide for yourself where to start cleaning and also what will be the most optimal route during cleaning. Of course, we can also set up the cleaning plan using a telephone app. All you have to do is draw the route on the display and you can start the vacuum cleaner.
No less than thirteen sensors are found in this robot. They all work to ensure that the vacuum cleaner does not damage the furniture, get stuck and perform cleaning optimally. The sensors help you avoid obstacles and plan your route as close to the docking station as possible at the end of the cleaning and make it easy to find.
Due to the improved performance, the suction force also increases, with this machine we can measure a maximum suction effect of 2000 pa. At the bottom of the machine we find a main brush, side auxiliary brushes that sweep the dust under the machine. The manufacturer has also optimized the wheel suspension system, so now it can handle obstacles up to 1,5-2 centimeters high. The intelligent system automatically increases engine performance when the machine detects a carpet. The 5200 mAh battery in the vacuum cleaner is enough for 2,5 hours of work, during which time it can clean up to 250 square meters.
