Intel Westmere has arrived
It comes as no surprise to anyone that Intel will launch new processor families this week. Many articles and information about these have appeared on the net.
The core models of the Clarkdale (desktop) and Arrandale (mobile) core models are already made at 32 nanometers, while the integrated graphics core is made at 45 nanometers. The integrated video controller for the new processors is thus not yet in a core with the CPU, but they are already shared on the enclosure, further integrating the Intel platform. The innovations introduced last autumn, so in addition to the integrated PCI Express controllers, the graphics chip is also under one cap.
