Not even a month to go before the digital switchover

On July 2013, 31, modern analogue television broadcasting will be replaced by modern digital broadcasting in 14 counties in the central part of the country. In the 14 counties affected by the first phase of the digital switchover, some 55 households indicated to the authority's surveyors that they were requesting state support for the digital switchover. In about two-thirds of the households requesting support, NMHH specialists have already installed the necessary reception equipment, set-top box and antenna, and made it possible to access a discounted subscription package.

Who can be supported?

Support is available to those who receive regular social assistance, housing maintenance allowance, care allowance, or old-age pension, education allowance in their own right, disability allowance, personal allowance for the blind, cash benefit for military careers in their own right, or employment replacement allowance.

A person who reaches the age of 2013 (or older) in 70 is also eligible for the benefit, and the total amount of pension, pension-like social benefits and health insurance benefits paid by ONYF does not exceed HUF 57.

In addition, the support requires that only analogue television programs be available in the claimant's household, ie only M1, TV2 and RTL Klub broadcasts.
