However, there will be no GeForce 9900 series!
Contrary to preliminary plans, the GT200-based NVIDIA cards will not cover store shelves in the summer as GeForce 9900 GTX and 9900 GTS.
For the sake of product transparency, NVIDIA came up with the idea that the GT200 cards would also have expanded the 9000 series in terms of name: the newcomer formerly referred to as the 9900 GTX is the GeForce GTX 280 and the 9900 GTS the GeForce GTX 260. kapja.
If the rumors are true, the GeForce GTX 280 will also be honored at the Computex 2008 trade show in Taiwan, which will be held from June 3 to 7. The official presentation will, in principle, be on June 18, but no one should take this for granted, as the date has not yet been confirmed by NVIDIA.
