LG HX300G LED projector: World Cup final with a pub feel in your room

The LG HX300G XGA DLP portable projector, as its name suggests, is a very small, absolutely portable model compared to its knowledge and features, as evidenced by its weight of 0,8 kg. It is based on DLP technology and its LED lamp has 30 operating hours, this long service life is good for both home and occasional use. We only tried the one thing a projector is classically capable of. It receives a signal and projects the received information. Of course, this is extremely easy to do with today's modern devices, the HDMI connector clicks in practically two places, one of which is the projector, the other is the device that sends the signal, and we are ready.

The HX300G is a well-parameterized, well-tuned device, that’s all made clear when roaming the menu forest. We didn’t exaggerate this, as we didn’t even have a screen for our home quick test, nonetheless, the few hours we spent in front of the LG HX300G turned out to be very pleasant and we increasingly felt we wouldn’t mind if the projector could stay longer. Although his image was not as sharp - apparently due to the lack of a screen - as the image of a TV or monitor, it was as if we had suddenly found ourselves in a cinema in our own home.

The LG HX300G knows a lot more than we used to and more than a projector in general. In addition to projecting, it is practically a media player as well, as it can play and open video, music, still images and files via a USB connection (flash drive, external HDD).

If you think about it, not in a home environment, but in the business sphere, it’s a huge advantage, as you don’t need a PC or notebook to sell your presentation, just a flash drive is enough, and we have everything we might need during the screening. The built-in speaker and the radio transmitter also contribute to this, with the latter we can transmit the sound wirelessly to an external tuner.

So who is the LG HX300G for? Primarily, those who perform in different locations often have to take the projector with them and want everything to be undisturbed during the screening, so primarily for business use.

Our home test found that it fits in the living room as well, and is less of a good choice for home cinema purposes alone, as its mobility in the living room cannot be exploited and the many extra features that the engineers have condensed into it.

If that weren’t enough, remember that today’s advanced consoles also output on HDMI, so here’s a great time to push your favorite simulator or FPS with a much larger diagonal than usual! It can’t be bad fun sitting in front of a picture of this size to push the pedal in one of the car races, so much so that when the new release of Gran Turismo finally comes out I’ll definitely be asking LG for this projector for a few days (or weeks?)!

In any case, as you can see from the article, we liked it, it functioned flawlessly during our stay, so for those who really need the small size, playback functions or even the built-in speaker, we can recommend it, and the overall picture is perhaps not excessive. nor is the gross price of 160 HUF, as the LG HX000G is available for about this amount.

We received the LG HX300G LED DLP projector from the LG representative in Hungary, thank you!
