It's time to take the "little one" out of its box! The quotation mark is certainly justified, since we are dealing with a competitor who is not a featherweight. The projector certainly weighs 10 kilos, so we only move it moderately, and we also have to pay attention to the load capacity when installing it on the ceiling. The AF115 is wrapped in a dark robe (nah) and, compared to its size, it does not lack elegance. Accordingly, LG's product is characterized by a glossy gray-black surface, but luckily it is not so sensitive to fingerprints, but we can prepare for dusting. Overall, the appearance can be rated as excellent.

Let's go through the pages of our "brick body", what is worth saying about them! At the bottom, apart from the height-adjustable feet and the four threads, there is practically nothing interesting. At the top, you can find the indicator LED, which lights up blue when switched on (however, for example, in the case of a continuous red light, run quickly for a spare light). With the circular "roller" shown here, we can shift our lens in the vertical direction (vertical lens-shift).

"Facade"

The optics on the front panel, which has a branded plastic smoke-colored protective cap, and the focus ring, which is responsible for focusing, are immediately connected here. Apart from the infrared receiver, there are only a few unmissable logos on the front panel. However, it also closely includes the manual zoom, for the scroll of which we have to reach under the optics - not so much a self-evident place, we were looking for his location for minutes in the dark during testing.

On the side we can find the two main ventilation openings, through which almost hot air flows through during operation (not in vain for the lamp's 220 watt power). Many people are most interested in the butt - we don't even admire it, because here are the key connectors and controls, and a small vent was a must here as well:

We have already mentioned the infrared receiver on the front panel, so it follows directly that we also find a "remote shutter" in the box. Fortunately, it is a backlight model (AKB36144904), which is an almost essential feature for a projector. It is a medium-sized remote control that fits in the hand, with the help of which you can easily navigate the menu, and it has dedicated buttons for many functions.
