Sony's first 7.2-channel home cinema systems with Wi-Fi and AirPlay, the STR-DN1040 and STR-DN840, provide the perfect home cinema experience.

Behind the sleek, stylish exterior is a rigid frame that eliminates any unnecessary resonance for powerful bass. The quality components leave no detail lost, be it explosive action scenes or subtle, harmonious melodies.

With digital HD cinema sound, the visual and audio experience brings to life the authentic acoustics of Hollywood’s best movie theaters. The “Concert Hall” mode takes you to the homes of the world’s most famous concert halls, the Berlin Philharmonic Hall, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam or the Musikverein in Venice.

Thanks to sound optimization, clear musical sound is guaranteed at all volumes. “Advanced Digital Cinema Automatic Calibration” (DCAC) fine-tunes the performance of both speakers to match the acoustics of the room.

With wireless data streaming, songs stored on your smartphone, computer or tablet can be shared easily and quickly, as can cloud-based music services, including Sony Entertainment Network’s platform, Music Unlimited.

Thanks to AirPlay, iPad, iPhone, iPodTouch or Macintosh owners can also listen to their audio stored on their Apple device in high quality. Even more convenient is the free remote control app, Side View, which can be downloaded to both smartphone and tablet (iOS / Android) and allows you to control events from your favorite armchair.

Both home theater systems allow 24-bit / 192kHz audio playback. Thanks to the 1040K converter built into the DN4, movies stored on Blu-ray ™ discs or DVDs sound just as great as they are on a 4K Bravia TV or projector.

The new STR-DN1040 and STR-DN840 AV home theater systems will be available in Hungary from June.
