Reality - Shunzao Z11 Max vacuum cleaner test
Introductory
Let's say a few words about the manufacturer first! Shunzao is reportedly connected to the Xiaomi ecosystem in some way, but I don’t know how. It must be a good thing to write Xiaomi in front of his name, but I'll stay more smoothly with Shunzao.
The name itself is, surprisingly, a description of a Chinese term in English characters. It consists of two members, SHUN and ZAO. SHUN means adapting to changes in the age. ZAO means creating cutting-edge products.
That is, the name, Shunzao, also means it follows the trend of the age to create the best products to meet people’s needs (why I just have a polar bear logo, I don’t know, but maybe it doesn’t matter).
I was only able to try out the company’s cheaper vacuum cleaner, the Z11 Max, a month ago, and honestly I’ve been under its influence ever since. The machine is already made of externally caught, quality materials that are not ordinary. Everything fits perfectly, the accessories snap into place as prescribed.
In addition, the machine is strong, as it reduces the pair of suction power of 26 Pa, and for that we got the cylinder brush in the motor head, which is really able to cut hair and textile fibers, so it became the first machine that did not only promise, that we will not have to cut the strands wound on the roller brush.
With such a history, you can think about how much I waited to get acquainted with the Shunzao Z15, which is currently, to the best of my knowledge, one of the most powerful stationary vacuum cleaners on the market. Of course, there are some interesting things beyond the brutal suction power, but I will talk about these in the article below.

Packaging and accessories
The box and accessories didn’t change much compared to the smaller brother. Cardboard is essentially nothing, we find some differences inside, but not much.
Most importantly, instead of a simple vacuum cleaner, we get a much longer piece, partly made of plexiglass. During the test, the longer length proved to be very useful in this case because it is much easier to extract dirt from the gaps in the furniture. That’s plenty with us, because even though my coulters can’t eat on the couch, somehow all the crevices are always full of crumbs.
But the most interesting (I almost said the best) is not the change in length, but the fact that we’ve got lighting in it to light up the gaps, and so we can see if there’s any dirt left there. This feature was a bit superfluous for me, I can’t see into the gaps in the couch at all, but I can imagine a situation where it comes in handy. For example, if you have to reach into the corner of a shelf behind books or something like that.
Further changes can only be detected in the color of the accessories. For the Z11 Max, the metal intake manifold was a bright orange, for the Z15 it was gray. In the same way, the rubber parts in the vacuum cleaner at the metal filter changed from orange to gray. I liked the bright color better, though in fact, the Z15 is a very serious vacuum cleaner, so gray might be a better fit.
What else can we find in the package? There is an EU plug charger and a wall mount. These can also be fitted together, which means that the plug of the charger can be inserted into the holder, so that if we take the little one off to rest, it will also charge automatically.
There is a wider suction head to remove hair, hair, etc. from upholstered furniture. can be sucked off. We have a motorized mite head, also for upholstered furniture, and of course we also get a large floor suction head with a motorized brush.
The latter can also be used for hard floors and carpets, with two types of bristles on it, plus there’s the famous haircut feature, which I’ll write about a little more later.
Knowledge, that is, the paper form
The soul of the machine is, of course, the carbon-free engine, which in this case can run at speeds of up to 150 rpm. The manufacturer also emphasizes quality bearings, durable magnets and magnesium motor housing, which guarantee a long service life.
In the case of the Shunzao Z11 Max, I wrote that the 160 AW suction power is not small, especially when we look at it loaded into a 1700 gram machine. Well, if I thought that value was good then, I would consider the 15 AW intake to be even better than the Z210, especially since the weight of the machine hasn’t changed substantially. 210 AW is a value of 30 Pa in practice, which is a bit of a bit for stationary vacuum cleaners.
I can't really think of a machine that is more powerful than that, maybe just the Dyson V15 Detect, but its price is 300 thousand forints, so it moves in a completely different dimension than the Shunzao Z15.
The suction power can be adjusted in 3 steps, ECO, Standard and Turbo. It is important that the Standard mode is also an automatic mode, ie the vacuum cleaner reduces the amount of suction force as needed, depending on the surface being vacuumed.
The battery is home to seven cells with a capacity of 3000 mAh. It can be charged from zero to 3 percent in 100 and a half hours. This means that the battery capacity was significantly increased compared to the Z11 Max, with only 2500 mAh cells, ie the total capacity increased by 3500 mAh.
However, the five-layer filter system has not changed, most of which can be found in the dust container with a useful capacity of 0,5 liters, and the last element at the end of the vacuum cleaner around us, around the display.
- On the first level, a technology called single-step cyclone separation separates the larger contaminants. This cyclone technology essentially means accelerating and circulating the incoming air, thereby being able to separate the air, dust and larger dirt.
- The second stage is a stainless steel filter designed to filter out contaminants larger than 0,4 microns.
- The third is another, but already multi-stage, cyclone separation that separates 0,4 microns less contaminants from the air.
- The fourth is a pre-filter in front of the engine, which traps between 0,4 and 0,3 microns of dirt.
- And the fifth is another filter, on which dust particles below 0,3 microns can get stuck.
With these five layers, the air escaping from the vacuum cleaner is made substantially completely free of dust, which is actually around 99 percent. With regard to filtration, the manufacturer also points out that the built-in multilayer cyclone separation was able to perform the filtration tasks without compromising the suction power and noise level required by EU standards.
The mite head is supposed to have a new motor, which I can neither refute nor confirm, it is the first vacuum cleaner from the manufacturer that came to me. At the same time, the new engine and new cylinder brush promise a 99,9 percent mite removal rate, which is probably not just 100 percent to keep them from burning.
I add myself (as an allergy) that in addition to mites and their feces, these heads also do a very good job of removing dust, fungal spores, pollen, and other allergens.
It is also important to talk about the display and the buttons on the display!
In the case of the Z11 Max, we were able to switch between modes with a small slide switch. This switch has already moved to / from the display on the Z15 in the form of a pushbutton. You can also find another key to lock or unlock the power key. In practice, this means that in the closed state it is enough to press the button to operate the vacuum cleaner, while in the open state it is also necessary to keep the power button pressed during use.
Extra compared to its predecessor is that the display has become colorful. At the same time, I liked the cheaper vacuum cleaner solution better, but it might just be a matter of taste in my case.
Finally, two more things that already seem useful based on the description!
The first is a patented process that prevents hairs, hairs, or e.g. fallen fringes of carpet. Honestly, I’ve read about such an innovation several times, it would be nice to have it, but so far I haven’t found a solution that works really well.
The other thing is the simplified dust container emptying. According to the description, the tank can be emptied at the touch of a button, so we don't get our hands dirty, NO BACILUS! I'm sorry, I had to highlight this because it's supposed to be very important!
So this is the paper form, but what is a vacuum cleaner like in reality?
Experiences
I’ve already mentioned the accessories, but I have to highlight them again. The quality is simply overwhelming. Sure, we can say no, rather, every vacuum cleaner should be basically like that, but that’s just a dream. With cheaper machines, we can sometimes come across quite poor solutions.
This is not the case with the Shunzao Z11 Max and Z15. Everything down to the last detail, to the last screw, to the last connector, is perfect wherever you are. It’s rare that I can’t tie into anything, but now that’s the case!
So the fact that the machine looks perfect already underpins our well-being. If I do want to get involved in something, but it’s really a search for the knot in the poop that my own Jimmy vacuum cleaner might have a better weight distribution. Maybe…
And now the haircut, the roller brush that makes this machine better than any other machine! The secret of the thing is simple, yet brilliant, I don’t even understand why others don’t apply it. On the one hand, the roller brush contains several bristles. There is a softer part to the hard floor and there are quite hard little tufts of bristles for the carpets. And there is the hair clipper!
The latter is nothing more than a metal sheet hidden between two comb-shaped rubber edges. That is, exactly two metal sheets that can slide on top of each other. The comb-shaped rubber introduces the hairs to the metal sheets, which then actually cut them. If I want to liken it to something, I can also mention the haircut part of razors to ladies and gentlemen. There, too, two sheets of combed metal slide over each other and cut the hair and hair. Well, this is exactly the solution that works in this vacuum cleaner or in the vacuum brush cylinder.
Practice shows that during the test - until I really used the vacuum cleaner intensively - I never had to deal with curled hairs.
The Shunzao Z11 Max hair clipper solution works with 99 percent efficiency instead of 100 percent.
As I indicated above, the suction power is brutal. Of course, don’t compare it to an industrial vacuum cleaner, because it wouldn’t be fer, but to other stationary vacuum cleaners on the market. He will definitely win among Xiaomik, only in the many (300+) forint categories. So for the price of getting this similar suction power we don’t get anything else. I am sure this performance will be enough for everyone.
According to the manufacturer, the maximum operating time per charge is 60 minutes. Honestly, I didn’t feel like measuring that, and it meant the ECO grade anyway, where the suction power was the lowest.
What I have tried, however, is whether I can vacuum out our living space with a usable area of roughly 100 square meters with a single charge. For this, I chose the Standard mode, where, as I wrote above, the suction power changes automatically. Well, the thing worked, even left with a little over 30 percent charge in the battery.
I note that it is very rare for us to vacuum the whole apartment with our own machine. Rather, it is used to suck the kitchen after cooking, the dining table area after lunch in the living room, or the sofa area. I think a stationary vacuum cleaner is for this.
But, as I said, it can also be used to vacuum the whole apartment, especially since it has the power to do so!
Conclusion
The Shunzao Z15 is a high-end product. I’m not saying there’s nothing stronger than it (albeit just a little bit), I’m not saying there’s nothing that has more sensors built into it, but those machines cost about three to four times as much.
I only describe this because there are many places on the net that the Z15 is the most powerful vacuum cleaner on the market. Well, if we want to be factual, that's not it. The correct wording says it is the strongest within the Xiaomi ecosystem, and that’s not bad either!
The other one I’ve already highlighted for the Z11 Max is the roller brush in the motorized head, which really solves it in a unique way to cut the curled hair and fabric fibers and get them into the dust container. The problem that we have to cut them off from time to time for the machine to work normally simply disappears.
And by the end of the article, dirty material. As I tried to indicate above, the price is relative. In other words, the price of HUF 113 is expensive, but realistically, and knowing the price of hundreds of thousands of machines of similar strength, it is not high.
Obviously, there are plenty who can’t afford such an investment, but if someone has the money for it and really wants top quality on the cheap, they can save a lot with it and are guaranteed not to be disappointed in their abilities!
