Introduction: Are realme Buds T310 the king of modern, affordable earphones?
The wireless earphone market is very competitive these days, with manufacturers trying to stand out from the crowd with various features. The realme Buds T310 is a model that offers active noise cancellation, quality sound, and long battery life at a surprisingly affordable price. But does it live up to its promises in everyday use? I've been testing these earphones extensively over the past few weeks, and now I'm sharing my experience.
As wireless technology has advanced, earphones have also become more sophisticated. While active noise cancellation (ANC) was a rarity in the affordable segment a few years ago, many manufacturers now offer models with this feature. Realme, which is primarily known for its smartphones, has been gradually building its audio offering and with the Buds T310, it has launched a product that can seriously compete with devices in the higher price range.
realme was founded in 2018 as a sub-brand of OPPO and soon became an independent brand. Their philosophy is centered on affordable but quality products, which is perfectly reflected in the Buds T310 earphones. This model is the manufacturer's next-generation true wireless stereo (TWS) earphones, which are an improved version of the previous T110 model.
The Buds T310 offer a range of advanced features, including 46dB hybrid noise cancellation, 12,4mm dynamic bass drivers, and 360-degree surround sound. Featuring Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity and dual device connectivity, the earbuds offer up to 40 hours of combined playtime, which is outstanding in this price range.
Designed for the modern lifestyle, the earphones have an IP55 dust and water resistance rating, making them ideal for use during workouts and outdoor activities. Smart touch controls and a dedicated app let you customize the sound and noise cancellation levels.
If you commute regularly or work in a noisier environment, a good pair of noise-cancelling headphones can be especially useful. The realme Buds T310 promise to effectively filter out external noise while providing excellent sound quality. Below, we take a closer look at how they perform in everyday use and find out if they are worth investing in.
realme Buds T310: stylish and practical
The realme Buds T310 have an attractive appearance at first glance, reflecting both modern design and practical thinking. Out of the box, the charging case is large, yet still pocketable, and boasts an elegant matte finish in the tested Vibrant Black color variant. The manufacturer also offers the model in two additional colors: Monet Purple and Agile White, which have a brighter, more shiny finish.
The shape of the charging case is slightly rectangular, but thankfully it doesn’t look too blocky, thanks to the gently rounded corners and curves. There’s a discreet status LED on the front of the case below the realme branding, which indicates the charge level and pairing status. At the bottom, there’s a USB Type-C charging port, which is a basic requirement these days, and allows for fast charging. The case weighs just 41,23 grams including the earphones, so it’s quite lightweight.
The earphones themselves are made of a smooth polished polycarbonate material, with a matte finish on the case and a glossy finish on the ear side. The device has a stem-shaped design, which helps to ensure a stable fit in the ear. It comes with several sizes of silicone tips, so everyone can find the most comfortable option for themselves. In terms of size, the earphones are extremely compact: they have dimensions of 30,7 x 20,2 x 23,6 mm and weigh only 4,2 grams each. This light weight ensures comfort even during prolonged use.
It is important to highlight the IP310 dust and water resistance rating of the realme Buds T55, which guarantees that the earphones are resistant to dust and splashes of water. This is especially useful when exercising or using them in rainy weather.
In terms of interface, the Buds T310 features smart touch controls. The outer surface of both earbuds is touch-sensitive, allowing you to control music playback, adjust volume, and handle calls without having to take out your phone. The touch-sensitive surfaces are sensitive enough, but not so much that they react to accidental touches. In the realme Link app, we have the option to customize the control functions if the default settings do not meet our needs.
Overall, the design and handling of the realme Buds T310 represent excellent value for money. The compact size, light weight, and water resistance make them especially valuable for those who lead an active lifestyle or often use the earphones while traveling. Three different color options allow everyone to find a version that suits their style.
realme Buds T310: great technical parameters in a compact package
Looking at the technical specifications of the realme Buds T310 earphones, it is immediately obvious that the manufacturer has placed a serious emphasis on sound quality and modern connectivity options. The heart of the model is the significant 12,4 mm dynamic bass drivers, which promise remarkable depth and detail when listening to music. With a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, the earphones are able to reproduce the full sound spectrum perceived by the human ear.
In terms of noise cancellation technology, the Buds T310 feature 46dB hybrid active noise cancellation (ANC) with three different noise reduction levels: mild, medium and maximum, as well as a transparency mode. This flexibility allows users to adjust the noise cancellation to suit their environment, whether it’s a quiet office or a crowded bus. The device’s cross-talk mode allows you to hear ambient sounds without taking off the earbuds – especially useful when commuting or having short conversations.
The wireless connection is provided by the latest Bluetooth 5.4 technology, which not only guarantees a stable connection, but also allows for dual device connection. This means that the headset can be connected to two devices at the same time, for example, a phone and a laptop, which can be switched between at the touch of a button. Supported audio codecs include SBC and AAC, although unfortunately the more advanced Hi-Res audio codecs are not supported by the device. The headset has an extremely low latency of 45 ms, which is especially beneficial when playing games or watching videos.
In terms of battery capacity, the realme Buds T310 truly excels. The earbuds each have a 58 mAh battery, while the case houses a robust 480 mAh unit. With this combination, the earbuds provide up to 9 hours of continuous playback on a single charge (ANC off), while with the case this value can be increased to 40 hours. Even with noise cancellation turned on, the 6-hour battery life is impressive, which the case extends to 26 hours. Thanks to the fast charging technology, just 10 minutes of charging can provide up to 5 hours of listening time - a great solution for those who are often on the go.
Call quality is enhanced by a total of six microphones (three per earbud) in the earphones, which work together with AI Deep Call noise reduction technology to ensure clear speech even in noisy environments. This is especially valuable for those who often make phone calls on public transport or in public places. The 360-degree surround sound function is another highlight of the model, which uses an embedded chip and an algorithm based on HRTF head function to create an immersive audio experience.
realme Buds T310 offers further customization options through the realme Link app. The app features four preset EQ modes: Clear Vocal, Natural Balance, Clear Bass, and Bass Boost. Users can also create custom sound profiles and use the special MindFlow mode, which plays soothing white noise, such as waves crashing on the beach, for short mental breaks. The app also lets you track the battery level of both the case and individual earbuds.
In terms of specs, the realme Buds T310 offer an impressive feature set, especially considering the device's price. The combination of active noise cancellation, long battery life, and advanced wireless technologies make it an excellent value in this price range, even if it lacks some premium features like support for more advanced codecs or wireless charging.
The Link app and smart features
The realme Buds T310 truly shines when you discover the realme Link app, which essentially acts as the device’s control center. The app is free to download for both Android and iOS platforms, and once paired, it opens up a whole new dimension of user experience. When you first launch it, it guides you through the basic functions of the earbuds, demonstrating how the smart touch controls and gestures work – a great help for first-time users.
The app has a clean user interface that instantly shows the battery level for both the case and each earbud. This handy feature helps you plan when you’ll need to charge your earbuds next, so you don’t get caught out in the middle of an important call and run out of battery. The main screen provides direct access to key controls, such as switching between ANC and Cross-Hearing modes, as well as different sound profiles.
One of the most exciting features of the Link app is the 360-degree surround sound setting. When activated, the earbuds offer a unique, spatially positioned sound experience that is much more immersive than traditional stereo sound. The feature works using an embedded chip and an algorithm based on the HRTF (Head-Related Transfer Function) head function. While it doesn't quite reach the level of surround sound quality of the AirPods, it does provide a remarkable surround effect for its price, especially when watching movies or playing games. While testing the feature, when listening to content with Dolby Atmos support, I really felt like the sound was coming from different directions.

The app's equalizer (EQ) features are also outstanding, with four preset profiles: Clear Vocal, Natural Balance, Clear Bass, and Bass Boost. The real highlight is the ability to create a custom EQ profile, where you can adjust the different frequency bands to your own taste. This level of customizability goes far beyond what you would normally expect from headphones in this price range.
Personalization goes even further with customizing the button settings. In the realme Link app, we can completely reprogram the touch controls of the earbuds if the default functions do not meet our needs. For example, we can set a double tap on the right earbud to activate the voice assistant instead of going to the next track, or a long tap to switch between noise canceling modes instead of adjusting the volume. This flexibility allows us to fully adapt the earbuds to our own usage habits.

One special, lesser-known feature is the MindFlow mode, which is a real surprise. This feature is actually a built-in relaxation tool that plays various soothing white noises – such as the sound of waves crashing on the beach or the patter of rain. It’s ideal for winding down after a stressful day or if you just want a short mental break in the middle of the day. In the feature, you can choose from different sounds and set a timer to determine how deep you want to relax.
Gamers will find the Game Mode particularly valuable, with a latency of just 45ms. This means that the audio tracks the on-screen action almost instantly, which can be a huge advantage in competitive games. After activating the feature, I tested it with a few popular mobile games, such as PUBG Mobile and Call of Duty Mobile, and the audio was indeed in sync with the in-game action, which greatly enhanced the experience.

Dual device connectivity can also be managed through the app, allowing you to seamlessly switch between your phone and laptop, for example. This is a particularly useful feature for those who often use multiple devices for work. An interesting observation is that although you can connect to two devices at the same time, only one of them can receive audio at a time – this is logical, of course, but it is important to be aware of the limitations of the feature. During testing, switching between devices was quick and seamless, which is especially commendable for a product in this price range.
Overall, the realme Link app and its extensive functionality significantly enhance the value of the Buds T310. The software is intuitive, well-organized, and a real added value – essentially a digital command center that allows you to fully utilize all the capabilities of the earphones, whether it's customizing the sound, managing the battery, or using special features. The quality of the app clearly shows that realme takes user experience seriously, not only in terms of hardware, but also in terms of software.
Earbuds on the test bench: This is what it really knows 🎧
I have thoroughly tested the realme Buds T310 earphones with more than two weeks of intensive use to give you a real picture of their performance. I have tried them in all kinds of situations, from commuting, working from home, exercising, and making calls, to see how they perform in everyday life. Let me share my experience with these affordable but promising earphones!
Sound quality and detail 🔊
I'll make a point right at the beginning of this chapter, the sound of the realme T310 is fantastic! Seriously, it's been a long time since I've heard such a warm, friendly sound, especially from a headphone at this price point. It didn't matter what style I listened to, it handled every obstacle without fail, reaching the perfect sound.
As much as I love Tronsmart stuff, I also had to admit that the realme link app simply beats the Tronsmart app by miles. It makes sense to switch between different bass boosts here, or to put the clear vocals in the foreground when listening to this kind of music. And if you still can't find the right setting, there's the 5-slider equalizer, which works great.
The test was difficult because when I gather my thoughts for the article, I try out a lot of musical styles, sometimes I play familiar songs for an hour and a half or two. In the case of the realme T310, this was not an easy thing, because I didn't feel like switching to the next song. Just to give you some idea of the thing, before I started writing this chapter, the songs were played in this order:
- U2 – With or Without You
- INXS – Mystify
- Billy Idol – Sweet Sixteen
- Depeche Mode - Policy of Truth
- ZZ Tp - Gimme All Your Lovin'
- Dire Straits – Walk Of Life
- Damiano David - Nothing Breaks Like a Heart
- Lana Del Ray – West Coast
- AC/DC – Thunderstruck
I wrote it down right away before I forget (the styles are a bit mixed up), just so you can see how the test goes for me. And of course, this was just a phase.
So, to summarize, the realme T310 is perfect for music, but unfortunately it won't be for everything, let's move on.
Noise cancellation in real-world conditions 🔇
The 46dB hybrid active noise cancellation (ANC) has mixed results in practice. It offers three different levels of noise cancellation (mild, medium, maximum), and I used the maximum setting for the most effective experience. It works, but there is a noticeable trade-off — when it tries to filter out external noise, it pumps white noise into your ears. The louder the external noise, the louder the white noise.
At first I didn't even understand what I was hearing, it took a while for it to sink in that they were trying to mute the noise cancellation by adding this white noise.
Interestingly, I noticed this issue more in quieter environments at home than in louder places like commuting. Custom sound profiles set up using the realme Link app helped alleviate this issue somewhat, but didn't eliminate it completely. It's not the same level of noise cancellation as the premium AirPods Pro or Sony WF-1000XM5, but it's still a decent performer considering the price.
So the point is, the noise cancellation sucks. The hissing gets louder, but it doesn't really cancel out the noises properly, it just muffles them (since you hear white noise instead). I found it much better to turn off the noise cancellation, because the earpieces that fit in your ear canal muffle a lot anyway.
But transparency mode didn't work well for me either. I simply couldn't detect any difference (or only an absolute minimum) between the off and on state.
The point is that in the case of the realme T310, it is very obvious that we are talking about a cheap headset. My own headset can make such a deafening silence on an airplane that you think the engines have stopped and the plane has stopped in the air. If it weren't for the vibration, it could be almost scary. Well, if you want to use the T310 on an airplane, it won't be suitable for that.
Call quality and microphones 📞
The six microphones (three in each earbud) and AI Deep Call noise reduction feature really do improve call quality somewhat. I tested it on public transport, on busy streets and in various weather conditions, and my conversation partners generally heard me well. The app further improves call quality by using more AI to filter out background noise.
There is also wind noise reduction, which seemed good for the most part, at least as much as I expected for this price. So, overall, the headset is usable for phone calls, even if not in top quality.
Battery life and charging ⚡
Battery performance was outstanding during testing. The manufacturer's promised 9 hours of playback time (without ANC) and a total of 40 hours with the case were actually achieved in practice. We can say that a weekly charge is enough for most users, even if they use the earphones for several hours a day.
In my testing (mostly listening to Spotify, with ANC off, and at medium volume), I only had to charge the case a few times over the course of a full week. The quick-charge feature also worked well – I actually got about 10 hours of playback time after 5 minutes of charging, which is perfect if you need to charge your earbuds in a hurry. Since you probably won’t be turning on ANC (since it’s almost unnecessary), you can expect similar results.
Comfort and fit 👂
The earphones proved to be surprisingly comfortable during long-term use. One day, I wore them for about six hours without interruption while working and did not experience any discomfort or fatigue in my ears. Okay, that's an exaggeration, but by the sixth hour I already felt something was loose in my ears, and I didn't listen to music during lunch, for example, but I found the realme T310 comfortable overall. The different sizes of ear tips certainly helped me find the perfect fit, which is key for both comfort and sound quality.
Connection and gameplay 🎮
The Bluetooth 5.4 connection was stable and reliable during testing. The range is about 10 meters, which is in line with the manufacturer's claim, and walls weren't too much of an obstacle to the signal. The dual device connection feature came in handy when I had to switch between my phone and laptop - switching was quick and seamless.
The 45ms low latency gaming mode is said to make a noticeable difference in gameplay. I tested popular games like PUBG Mobile and Call of Duty Mobile and the audio felt in sync with the in-game action, but to be honest, I don't have much experience with this. Let's just say it sounded good to me.
360-degree surround sound and special features 🔄
The 360-degree surround sound feature has yielded interesting but mixed results. Once activated, you can actually experience a sense of spatiality, especially when watching movies or listening to certain music. However, it doesn't quite reach the quality of surround sound offered by more expensive headphones.
This should be understood in a way that in more expensive headphones, Spatial Audio not only means that when you turn it on, the soundstage expands and you get a more defined sense of space compared to traditional stereo, but also that the headphones monitor the movement of your head and adjust the sounds accordingly. Well, nothing here monitors head movement. However, turning on Spatial Audio gave a particularly enjoyable effect with some music, it's worth trying!
The MindFlow relaxation feature was a pleasant surprise – the sound of waves on the beach helped me unwind after a stressful day at work. It’s a feature I wouldn’t expect from a product in this price range, and a valuable addition for everyday use.
I left one interesting or rather surprising thing for last. Well, not one, but two. The first is that sometimes the touch-sensitive control worked awkwardly, for which I don't know the reason. Sometimes it worked smoothly, other times I tapped it, held it, pressed my finger hard, weakly and nothing. Then it worked again.
The other is that I take the earphones out of my ears and the music doesn't stop. I've somehow gotten used to this, that I don't have to stop the music, the earphones sense that they're not in my ears. But not here, the realme T310 doesn't sense anything.
Final Verdict: The realme Buds T310 outperforms its price 👑
After several weeks of thorough testing, I can confidently say that the realme Buds T310 earphones are worthy of your attention! This affordable TWS device offers surprisingly rich functionality, making it a strong competitor to many more expensive models. 46 dB hybrid active noise cancellation (which only exists on paper), 12,4 mm dynamic bass drivers, and an outstanding battery life of up to 40 hours all contribute to making this earphone stand out from the crowd.
The realme Buds T310's main strengths are its extremely warm, friendly, velvety-balanced sound, excellent battery life, and the versatile realme Link app, which is a real added value. The sound of the earphones is a very pleasant surprise - with a balanced frequency spectrum, clear vocals, and well-controlled bass, even the most critical ears can be satisfied. The battery performance is also impressive, lasting up to a full workweek on a single charge with moderate use. The multi-function control, dual device connection, and 360-degree surround sound (even if it's not what I thought when reading the specifications) are extras that are usually only found in more expensive devices.
Of course, there are trade-offs to consider. The active noise cancellation works, but it's not quite up to the level of premium headphones, and sometimes produces noticeable white noise. The plastic design of the charging case doesn't feel the most solid, and inserting the earbuds into the case can be a bit fiddly at times. There's also a lack of advanced codec support, which might put off even the most hardcore audiophiles. However, these are all trade-offs that are acceptable when you consider the device's extremely affordable price.
For everyday use, the realme Buds T310 are a great companion. With an IP55 dust and water resistance rating, comfortable fit, and versatile application, the earphones fit perfectly into your active lifestyle. They are especially recommended for those who commute frequently, want earphones for workouts, or are simply looking for a reliable, all-rounder at an affordable price.
My final rating: The realme Buds T310 is an 8,5/10 device that far exceeds its price point in terms of sound quality, and otherwise delivers what I expect from a pair of headphones that cost this much. In other words, the bar is not high. However, the sound quality, features, and battery life combined represent a value that makes these earphones easily recommended to most users. If you are not looking for the most advanced features or are a professional-level audiophile, but are looking for a reliable, well-functioning pair of earphones that will not empty your wallet, then the realme Buds T310 could be the perfect choice. This is the kind of product that proves that you don't necessarily have to spend a fortune to enjoy a good quality audio experience.
