We tested: LGA6 motherboard with 7 types of 1155-series PCH

Cue

In this article, we’ve taken a look at the range of Series 7 PCHs that can be used for both Ivy Bridge and Sandy Bridge processors, from entry-level to mid-range products to high-end. Products from four manufacturers took part in our test, as we also transferred the results of the Intel motherboard in the Ivy Bridge article to the graphs. It is important to mention that today we do not really find one that has a bad motherboard. We may still remember the terribly cheap Tomato-branded motherboards of the P4 era, but Mercury also had some interesting attempts. Today, practically only those who offer a quality product one by one are alive. So if a motherboard is cheap, it does not mean that it is bad, but that it knows less in 1-2 things than, say, its 10 HUF more expensive counterpart. Moreover, sometimes the capabilities of the cards are already so blurred that even a small, less important thing can cause a relatively large price difference, so it’s definitely worth thinking about before you buy exactly what you need, what we’re taking advantage of. By doing so, we can save ourselves from wasting money, but if we clearly know something we need to, we should sacrifice it because it can make our lives easier in the future.

Here is the GIGABYTE B75M-D3V, the smallest member of the three-member GIGABYTE detachment. Small in size, simple, but it knows everything an average user needs, and even more with Intem Small Business Advantage. There is no support for Ks processors and thus no serious tuning, but with this model this is a fairly acceptable cut. The GIGABYTE B75M-D3V is a typical example of when the “cheap good” principle applies, as we get a fair product for HUF 18 gross, one that can serve most of the needs. Its price / value ratio is great, so it clearly deserves the recommended rating.

The G1.Sniper M3 is already a much more specialized board for special audiences that are clearly serious gamers. This board is also micro-ATX sized, meaning a gaming machine can be built on it that is light enough to comfortably carry from one LAN party to a LAN party. A range of excellent integrated audio, headphone amplifier, seamless networking technologies, and of course all the capabilities a page can know today. USB 3.0, SATA 3.0, Z77 extras, and GIGABYTE specialties. All in all, the G1.Sniper M3 is a pleasant gamer board, and the gross purchase price of HUF 43 is a fair offer. I liked the page clearly, recommended for gamers.

The GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD5H is a high-end model smeared with all shells. You can enjoy the benefits of the Z77 PCH, which is also great for tuning, thanks to the many different types and numbers of connectors thanks to the many additional chips, including dual gigabit LAN, many USB 3.0 and SATA 3.0, eSATA and FireWire , and a rich visual and audio output range. The GIGABYTE Z77X-UD5H is worth choosing if you have a higher frame for buying a motherboard and you want a reliable, durable, highly equipped product for many years, which is also reflected in its purchase price of HUF 63.

Two models from ASUS were placed on the test bench and one was visually inspected. The ASUS P8H77-M PRO in micro-ATX size offers a complete solution for everyday use, not only for PC but also for HTPC purposes. Its knowledge and equipment scrubs the level of the more serious Z77 models, all we have to do is take advantage of the capabilities of the Ks processors and the tuning. We get plenty of connectors with plenty of standards, advanced digital outputs for both picture and sound. Therefore, in exchange for the package, they ask for less than 31 HUF at the checkout, which is another good price / performance ratio, so the ASUS P000H8-M PRO is a good buy for anyone and is recommended for purchase.

The ASUS P8Z77 WS extends to the top category, and with the WS name, we can take advantage of some of the services and features that tend to the world of servers. It is also associated with unparalleled quality and reliability, it is no coincidence that ASUS even recommends a 24/7 use in a corporate environment, and these benefits can be reaped in the home environment by those with the right financial resources. It is also at the forefront of tuning, the equipment satisfies all needs, but this high-class and special package tastes HUF 86. We clearly liked what he knows and offers, but we feel that if a test winner needs to be announced, we’ll give it to him based on the big picture. The P000Z8-V Deluxe offers almost the same equipment and knowledge as the P77Z8 WS with the lack of WS functions, so it is significantly cheaper, it can be tweaked around 77 HUF.

The MSI Z77A-GD65 had been with us before, but with an Ivy Bridge processor, it could only now show what it was capable of. Our opinion hasn’t changed much, the Z77A-GD65 is an up-to-date, richly equipped motherboard with an MSI-specific look and all important MSI features such as OC Genie II, Dr MOS II and Military Class III components. You can even build a multi-card graphics power plant with its help, but tuning is no stranger to it either. Its gross purchase price of HUF 55 is kind of "okay", it definitely deserves the desired rating.

We did not analyze the test results in particular, as what we have been saying for years has been further confirmed. There is also little difference between different PCHs, let alone models with the same controller. Of course, there is some difference in the measurements, but we can hardly perceive this in life, in everyday life. Conclusion of our article: choose a motherboard according to our wallet, needs and sympathy!

GIGABYTE G1.Sniper M3, B75M-D3V and Z77X-UD5H motherboards are Domestic representation of GIGABYTE, the ASUS P8Z77 WS, P8Z77-V Deluxe and P8H77-M PRO motherboards are ASUS Home Office, while the MSI Z77A-GD65 is Representation of MSI provided for our test, thank you!
