Now may be the time to invest in a solid state drive.
After a long period of stagnation, this year we have finally seen SSDs become cheaper. Guru3D has made an interesting compilation of what these changes mean when quantified.
The half-TB Crucial MX500 is available from us in somewhat luckier countries for as little as € 100, compared to nearly € 140 at the beginning of the year - a reduction of 25%, with a unit cost of € 20 cents per GB.
The also 500GB Samsung SSD 860 EVO produced an even more serious fall, the price almost halved here.
Remaining with this storage capacity: the Samsung SSD 2 EVO, which fits in the M.970 socket, was not long ago open for over € 200, while now it could be ours for € 160.
If DigiTimes' expectations are confirmed, the trend shown above may unfortunately stop for the time being - more about this here we discussed.
