Good news for gamers, GDDR6 can run at a good price

Thanks to Digi-Key, an electronic component distributor, we gained some insight into prices.

The memories shown in the table below are Micron products, do not include VAT, and are valid for orders of at least 2000 pieces. We note that these prices do not reflect what a graphic manufacturer has to pay, as the discount is certainly significant due to a large order - we speculate that the numbers may even be halved with it. The prices of GDDR6 are worth comparing with the previous generation, then our statement above makes sense.

It can be seen that the 12,0 GHz, 1GB capacity new generation memory chip is barely more expensive than its 8,0 GHz predecessor. This is also due to the fact that GDDR5 has become much more expensive in the recent period, which has unfortunately been as high as 40 percent. The optimal choice of speed will, of course, be critical again, with rates of 13,0 and 14,0 GHz, of course, at a premium, although at first glance this does not seem dangerous.
