The JIMMY H10 Flex is not only super, but also cost-effective at its level.
Jimmy's vacuum cleaners are good. This is perhaps also shown by the fact that we use two at home, an upright vacuum cleaner and a mop vacuum cleaner. I'm not saying it's my choice on the benchmark, but since I get to try a lot of machines, I have some insight on the subject, and the Jimmy is a real winner!
What will surprise you at first is the sea of accessories.
There are many manufacturers on the market, and many manufacturers have many vacuum cleaners. In fact, it cannot be denied that the gap between cheaper and more expensive machines is getting smaller and smaller in terms of suction power. The question is given, how is the more expensive one better?
Well, in more ways than one. They are quieter, the battery capacity is larger, so the operating time available on a single charge is longer. The more expensive machines have a well-functioning dust sensor, so there is also an efficient automatic mode. The plastics are better, the quality of the assembly is also different.
In addition, even though the suction power is the same based on the specification, it does not matter where it is measured, there is no established rule for this. In the case of cheap machines, the value measured directly at the engine, in the case of more expensive ones, the value measured in an external part of the intake system may be equal, but in practice we will still experience different power.
And, of course, there are the accessories, which come in plenty for the expensive machines, and only in smaller quantities for the cheaper ones.
As usual, we can't help but take these accessories out of their excellent packaging. Everything is made of very good quality and very good materials. You won't find burrs or brittle plastics here. The following things will be in your hands during unpacking:
- A wall bracket on which accessories can also be placed
- A brush for the floor suction nozzle, which will be used for carpets and carpeted floors
- One battery, one charging head
- A hinged adapter for smaller heads
- A large brush upholstery head
- A small brush head (I use it for shelves and similar parts)
- A long crevice tool with a lighted end
- A motorized upholstery cleaning head, this is called a mite vacuum cleaner
- A large motorized floor vac
- A long suction pipe with a joint in the middle
- The base machine
The list is not small, maybe I'm missing only one thing, the short throat tube given to the Pro versions, which I like to use when cleaning cars. I note that you can get this tube separately on Aliexpress.
So there is no shortage of accessories, the machine also looks good, usual Jimmy quality, but the question is what capabilities it has!
Well, the JIMMY H10 Flex is not the company's top vacuum cleaner, the top is now the H10 Pro Flexible structure. In my opinion, Jimmy shot themselves in the foot a bit by launching the Flex, because after that I don't really know if the Pro version is approx. Who will pay the 50 extra?
The fact is that, in my opinion, the differences are subtle.
The power is the same, 650 watts. The suction power is also the same, 245 AW or 26 Pa. The battery is different, because the Pro version has 000 cells with a capacity of 8 mAh, while the plain Flex only has 3000 cells of 8 mAh. This can also be seen in the vacuuming time, the Pro lasts 2500 minutes on a single charge, while the Flex "only" lasts 90 minutes.
As I wrote, there is also a difference in the number of accessories, the Pro version has a short throat tube more, and the more expensive machine has a stand holder, and the plain Flex has "only" a wall-drilled version. Apart from that, there is only one difference, the Pro speaks English, but literally, because it also says it verbally if, for example, detects a problem.
Almost everything else is the same. Both machines, including the cheaper one, have intelligent control, there is a dust sensor, so there is a very efficient automatic mode. What might tip the scales towards the H10 Pro is that it has a sensor like the one in the Dyson V15 (which, depending on the store, is available at a price of HUF 280-350 thousand), and this not only determines the amount of dust, but also classifies it also according to the port 4 grain size. Well, plain Flex doesn't know that, it only senses the amount.
There is LED lighting in the front on the large floor head, and what is very important (which is why it is called what it is) we also get a long extension tube that can be broken in the middle, with which we can easily vacuum under furniture.
The dust container has a size above its category, 1,6 liters, there is a button opening and waste emptying, and of course there is also a large display on the machine. The battery can be removed and charged in a place independent of the machine, and if you think you can buy a second one, the machine is almost inexhaustible.
In terms of capabilities, the Jimmy H10 Flex has become a great machine, so the question is how to vacuum with it!
I'll start with the only negative, which basically affects all Jimmys, is the one-button dust container emptying. That's not worth much. After opening the container, the larger granular waste falls out, everything else, e.g. dust and lint stay inside. It's not a big problem, the entire filter can be removed from the counter by a quarter of a turn, so the fluff falls out and the fine dust can be wiped off.
In other words, this one-button emptying is still not the real thing, but everything else is first class!
The paper form is one thing, the use is another thing again, because there are capabilities that go beyond the simple specification, which we only experience when we use the machine. It depends on these abilities, for example, how tiring it will be to use it, how much it will hurt, e.g. our wrists after an hour of vacuuming.
This is also why I like Jimmy's vacuum cleaners, because with these machines they also take care to ensure that the weight of the machine is well distributed and balanced. You don't have to hold it by your wrist while vacuuming, it doesn't drag your hand, the center of gravity is in the best possible place. Of course, this is also the case with Flex.
I really like the long suction tube called flexi, it's the one thing I miss from my own machine. I'm sure that if mine ever gets so bad that it's unsalvageable, I'll buy one instead, with the big extension tube bent in the middle.
The Jimmy H10 Flex is not a panacea either, so it will not replace a traditional vacuum cleaner if, for example, I have to vacuum under the double bed, but under the cupboards and dressers is enough.
My own older Jimmy doesn't even have an LED floor nozzle, and that's a bit lacking. No, I don't need it so that I can see under the cupboard, but because in the glare light I can clearly see where the floor is still dusty.
By the way, the floor head has really become universal by adding the brushes to the carpet and the hard floor. It can also remove tangled threads quite effectively, although in my opinion Shunzao, which is no longer available, was the king, but Jimmy is not ashamed either.
With my own machine, I had to call for scissors once in the last year to cut the coiled threads.
In my opinion, the mite suction head is flawless in its category. According to my experience, these solutions are not as effective as machines specifically designed for this purpose, that is, to destroy mites, but they are still able to remove a surprising amount of dust, lint, etc. from the fabric of the sofa or bed.
The other accessories are also good, but to be honest, I e.g. I don't use my vacuum cleaner very much for shelf cleaning. If so, you will love the different heads. Also the partial suction, which is not only particularly long, but can also be bent a little, so you can fit it everywhere. The icing on the cake is that the LED installed at the end also lights up the gaps, so there will be no unnoticed dirt that you could forget there.
In other respects, this machine is also "just" a Jimmy, which means in short that it is perfect. I never dare to say that there is nothing better than this, not least because there is also the H10 Pro, but I dare to write that in terms of price-value ratio, there cannot be much that is better than this or these machines.
I wrote above that I have a bit of a feeling that the Jimmy with this machine was well below the Pro version. I'm not saying, I wrote it, Pro is better in some things. Of these, the 10 minutes longer operating time and the flexible tube mean something to me. The "extra" of the dust sensor did not make me feverish, nor did the fact that the Pro spoke to me in English.
In fact, if I think about it, the 10-minute extra operating time isn't really even, because as a Jimmy user, I know that the operating time available with automatic mode is more than enough for a person to run through an 80-100 square meter apartment on a single charge. And my old Jimmy couldn't do 80 minutes even when he was new. So from this point of view, the fact that the machine runs for 80 or 90 minutes on a single charge is irrelevant to me.
The short throat tube remains as a positive in addition to the Pro version, but as I wrote above and will write again, I can buy it separately on Aliexpress, so this advantage cannot be said to be significant.
So what should be the summary?
It's more or less that Jimmy saw with a very good eye that there is a big gap between the Pro and the plain version machines, which should be closed. This filling became the Flex, which is the same as the top model in terms of the most important capabilities, and true to its name, it received the extension tube bent in the middle, which until now only belonged to the top.
They only fooled me in reasonable places, they took extras that, in my opinion, will not hurt most people. It does not talk to us, it does not classify the dust into four groups according to the size of the dust particles, the operating time is 10 minutes shorter and there is no tripod holder. This is the shortfall we have to bear compared to the top-of-the-line machine, but in return we get a HUF 50 lower price.
I note that the Jimmy H10 Pro Flexible is not expensive either, especially when compared to a Dyson V15 with similar capabilities.
I know, Dyson is the king, but honestly, they haven't been able to come up with something the Chinese can't produce for years. Neither in strength nor abilities. So I think that for years there has been no real reason why I would want to pay HUF 100-150 thousand more for a Dyson instead of a Jimmy.
If you want a good machine at the lowest possible price, and you don't mind the lack of extras described, I warmly recommend the Jimmy Flex, I know you won't be disappointed!
