D-Link has introduced a new network and USB storage device
The DNS-313 storage can perform our file sharing tasks without a computer.
The DNS-313 storage can accommodate any size SATA I / II HDD without any installation, so depending on our wallet, we can expand the storage of our home computers with up to 1 TB of storage capacity. Thanks to the Gigabit connection, files can be downloaded to any home computer twice as fast as USB storage. Meanwhile, the files stored on the NAS are completely safe even in the event of a computer failure. The DNA series cools the hard drives with its own built-in (very quiet) fan, the fan speed depending on the current temperature. In addition, their DNA series devices constantly monitor the condition of the hard disks, and in the event of a problem, they are able to shut down themselves to prevent the disks from overheating or otherwise being damaged.
DNS series devices can be used by up to 10-15 users at a time without compromising the performance of any computer. Remote access is provided by the built-in FTP server. If network sharing features are not required, the device can also be connected directly to a PC via a USB 2.0 port.
UPnP and iTunes media server features allow you to access shared media files (music, video, pictures) from anywhere on the network - not just in a PC environment, but even on a Macintosh network. You don’t have to have a computer turned on to use these options - while a PC consumes up to 300W, DNS devices consume only 10-15W of power.
The small repository can automatically download specified content from the internet (torrent, edonkey, emule, http and ftp downloads). All you have to do is specify what content you want to download, and then the device can automatically download and manage it without turning on your PC or other computer. Downloads can be controlled by a graphical program (sancho) that is also available for PC, Linux and Macintosh. With this program, we can control our downloads either over the Internet - or from another continent.
