Introductory

Ever since my Xiaomi MIX 3 arrived, I’ve struggled with the factory charger. I’m not saying it’s bad because it charges quickly, but somehow it didn’t occur to me that I had to put the phone on a flat “plate”. It can be a terrible cup on my desk, I often had to look for what it got under, other times I managed to pack a lot of stuff on the rechargeable phone. So I didn't like it. On the other hand, the wireless charging was sympathetic because I didn’t have to constantly look for the end of the cable, there wasn’t an accident that called me and I forgot the cable was plugged in and I pulled everything off the phone. So I had to find a solution, cheap but good. The Itian A18 has become the solution I have been using with great satisfaction for weeks now.

How does it work?

Wireless charging is not a big iron, it is not a new invention, we have come across it in the past with electric toothbrushes, for example, but virtually any transformer or isolating coil works on this principle. Technology is evolving, so they have been able to shrink these solutions to smaller and smaller sizes, plus they are capable of ever-increasing performance. Because that wasn't an aspect of a toothbrush, its dock was also the charger, and apart from that 2-3 toothbrushes a day, it was on it anyway.

Wireless charging is basically simple, even if you don’t want to go into the depths of the charging circuits, of course. But we don't want it to be unnecessary either. Broadly speaking, all you need to know is that there are rolls in the charger and in the phone. In one coil, the current flowing in it creates an electromagnetic field, which generates a current in the other coil. So the petrol is no longer coming on the wire, as they used to say, but the air through the delej.

As science evolves, we get more and more powerful chargers that are already ample to the performance of a few years of wired charger.

What’s even more important to know is that there are two types of wireless charging, more specifically, two more common versions for phones. There is no passage between the two, some Samsung phones can only use both. For this reason, before you buy, check your phone to see which standard it supports, so choose between Qi and the Powermat system.

Itian A18

The Itian A18 is not a high-tech charger, it can charge with only 5 watts, which is not a world-class performance, the price is adjusted accordingly, but more on that later. As I wrote in the introduction, the goal was to have a wireless charger that doesn’t get mixed up in a mess. Because of this, only a stationary charger could be considered, one on which the phone had to be placed.

The Itian A18 point is like this. The back cover is large enough to prevent larger phones from tipping over. The back protruding sole is also the right size, so you don’t even think of tipping it up. There are rubber soles on the bottom so it doesn’t slide on the table, but you can also find rubber on the top of the part that holds the phone or where the phone rests. This is good for two reasons, it doesn't scratch and the phone can't slip off it either.

Next to the charger that comes in a simple cardboard box, you get a relatively short cable, there is no charging head, so you have to connect it either to a computer or to the charging head that came with your phone. The structure itself can even be said to be jawy. It’s not over-complicated, but the plastics used are good, the slightly reflective cover on the front of the phone holder is eye-catching, and it looks good in the dark that when I put the phone on it the arrow symbol in the middle starts to glow blue.

As I wrote above, this stuff is not about fast charging. The manufacturer specifies 5 watts, which according to the paper corresponds to a current of 5 amp at 1 volts. According to my desktop charging station, in reality this is the case with the MIX 3 - of course, if the charging station is usually 1,4-1,6 amps, ie the structure exceeds the factory value. It is certain that the factory charger supplied with the phone does not know this much, there the display shows a value between 1,2 and 1,4 amps. So it’s not bad, the slowness is more only perceptible compared to wire charging.

Bottom line, my phone never runs out. When I get home I set it up and at the latest when it reaches 95-98 percent I take it off.

Closing Remarks

The thing is, when I ordered for $ 10, I thought it would be what it will be, worth 2800 forints. Since the pictures looked good I was also thinking that I would use it at most in the phone tests to take better photos of the mobiles.

After all, what happened? It turned out that compared to the fact that it costs 2800 forints, this is a very good piece. It’s such a good piece that it performs even better than the factory charger, not to mention how roughly its rubber surface collected the dust and how I could easily mix it on the table as I wrote.

In comparison, the Itian A18 is nice, useful, charges well and the phone is always in mind, as you can see in one of the pictures standing there in the lower right corner of the monitor. I can see if my message is coming, if it is muted it will also show up when someone calls. So I love it, I use it, and I’m definitely not going to draw this in any sweepstakes between you. He stays with me until he falls apart or takes the cat to play.
