Black Friday kicks off in Chinese stores

Although 11.11 discounts traditionally take the lead, Black Friday is also a hit!

Black Friday kicks off in Chinese stores

Let’s start first with the most important question I ordered on Black Friday, whether it will arrive by Christmas. Of course, I can only rely on the experience of recent years.

Unfortunately, this year, due to the pandemic, the circumstances are special, but it is an encouraging sign that after the long delays in the spring, deliveries have returned to normal as part of the year so far. It’s as if the world is getting used to the current situation pretty slowly. Life goes on, even if a little differently than before.

To be sure, there was some disruption 3 years ago, but it’s not dangerous if I had to guess, I’d say 10-15 percent of the packages didn’t arrive, at least based on the feedback, I’m guessing so much.

2 years ago, the delivery was horrible, lots of packages, a lot of containers stuck in the domestic postal system, lots of people complained that the gifts ordered for Christmas had not arrived. Quite extreme situations have arisen, with packages arriving that were shipped in early December but not at the end of November. There was information that the parcels were literally in the mountains at the post office, and anyone whose pack was at the bottom of the pile because he had arrived earlier only got it in January, whoever came later and got to the top of the pile received it on time.

After such antecedents, we did not expect anything good last year, but somehow the system changed. The parcels arrived in the country on time, and something happened in the mail as well, perhaps learning from the fiascoes of previous years because I had hardly heard of a package that would not have reached the recipient in time.

What will happen this year? Of course, we don't know yet. All I can say is that hopefully the post office will be able to use last year’s best practice this year as well, but for anyone ordering a gift on Black Friday, for safety’s sake, think ahead that some alternative solution may be needed at the last minute.

Black Friday, surprisingly, falls on Friday. It’s a day like New Year’s Eve, which, we’re also brawling with him to say it’s going to be Friday and 13, there’s not much chance of that. Black Friday is always the last Friday in November, this year it falls on November 27th.

What are stores made of?

As I wrote in the introduction, the most prominent shopping holiday in China is 11.11, but that means nothing in terms of prices. Moreover, since they also know that we will no longer be buying gifts from Chinese warehouses after Black Friday, they see this as a kind of last (i.e., penultimate) opportunity to empty the warehouses. So, we can easily get caught up in quite good purchases.

What limits the possibilities is the stock. During 11.11, stocks will drop significantly, with stores trying to top it up somewhat for Black Friday, but that doesn’t always work out. In many places, we can see that the prices are now so high that they beat those before 11.11, plus there are quite a few coupons. This may also be due to traders trying to reserve the remaining stocks for Black Friday as well.

And what comes after Black Friday?

As a last resort, they tend to hold a Cyber Monday after Friday as well, this is really the end of the big promotions. I know a lot of people say it’s dusting all over, but I also know that in January-February we’ll still cry back at current prices. This happens every year. The next promotion period is expected around April, of course it will not be nearly as strong as the current one. So, buy up!

This year, the biggest surprise at Banggood was the rough increase in EU warehouses and the increase in inventory in them. The Czech warehouse near us had a huge amount of product, delivery was also free in most cases, so there was something to be happy about. By now, the stocks in the Czech warehouse have dropped significantly, but there is still something to choose from. To help us, Banggood has now collected these on one page. There is no coupon code here, but you can ask us, we are trying to help you in our Facebook group!

Geekbuying has been a bit pushed into the background with us so far, I add a little unfairly. The store is extremely reliable, they have plenty of EU warehouses. In terms of prices, they lag a little behind Banggood, but there are some product lines worth watching. For example, they have Tronsmart stuff at a very good price, we also find electric scooters at market-leading prices, but there are also many robotic vacuum cleaners, and millions and other things.

Maybe they can't be said to be strong in the field of telephones, in the field of tablets and drones there is already a better price. The point is, it’s worth counting on them, I can get a lot of coupons for them, so look around!

There is a game on the Geekbuying Black Friday page, you can spin discounts, find coupons that you can use for several product lines, these give a roughly 10 percent discount off the original price. We can find the products broken down into warehouses, so we can also see the offer of German, Polish, Spanish and Czech warehouses separately.
