The HOMTOM HT70 phone came with a huge battery - we unpacked it

They tried to carve a showy look for him, but he only managed to do it from time to time, but he certainly won't run out for 5-6 days.

The HOMTOM HT70 phone came with a huge battery - we unpacked it

Introductory

We rarely make unpacking articles and videos, but now it's time for that too. The advantage of these articles over tests is that for some, it will whet the appetite to read a later, more meaningful article, while for others, on the contrary, they won’t waste their time unnecessarily on an article they’re not really curious about. We will also cover the hardware in a few words, but based on the technical data alone, the main thing to say now will be the exterior.

HOMTOM HT70 - The packaging

It has become commonplace that Chinese phones come in rectangular, flat and black boxes. HOMTOM did not vary greatly on the packaging, but remained in the best known, perhaps elegant, cardboard box at the top with the brand name.

Reversing the box makes it clear that this is a wrap that can be put into any of their phones. The most important hardware data and the IMEI data sheet are plain white self-adhesive paper, such as the phone is in the box, can be glued.

With the cover tilted, we find the phone in zaccyou, highlighting the mobile undercover with the accessories. In the larger faces on the right, there is a silicone backing, a screen protector, an English user manual, and a needle for the SIM card tray. Next, there are two short cables, one of which connects the other standard USB connector to the Type-C socket on the phone.

The bullet for charging and data exchange has a strange red color, rather thick and rigid. This is probably due to the fact that the fast charge function used for the huge battery can work effectively. It is important to note that HT70 does not have a deeper Type-C socket compared to many similar high-battery phones, so you do not need to find a special cable for example when you want to get a second charging cable or a cigar-type type-C charger .

After the cables, the last accessory is a charging head that is plugged into the EU, so it does not have to be converted to use it. The charger HOMTOM Fast Charger has an 3 amps output, so it's quite combo enough to pump the battery full of electrons within a reasonable time.

HOMTOM HT70 - The hardware

Let's say a few words about iron then! The central unit is eight-core, but that’s not enough today to get us down on it. Unfortunately, browsing the specification and not seeing the type of SoC, we don’t throw ourselves back down because the MediaTek MT6750T is no longer a good thing today. I’m not saying it won’t drive the phone, nor that we’ll hate it, but that won’t be the main reason we choose the HT70 so I can envelope it.

HOMTOM HT70 5

Which is to be welcomed, however, as we are doing well in terms of memory and storage. of the former 4 of the latter 64 gigabytes are available, which I think will be enough for almost anything these days.

If we look at the display, one of our eyes is crying and the other is laughing, because although the resolution is “only” HD +, i.e. 720 x 1440 pixels, it also has advantages. Okay, the pixel density won’t beat the sky, but in return, the slightly more dewy processor and video controller won’t sweat blood to run relatively new games at acceptable speeds. The other advantage of the thing is that the lower resolution also reduces the energy hunger, so it will have a beneficial effect on the operating time.

HOMTOM HT70 6

We can’t be sad about the cameras, but we can’t be particularly hilarious either. They end up with the rest of the hardware in terms of performance, and that’s definitely a good point. The front panel features a 13-megapixel Sony Exmor RS sensor, and the back panel features an unknown 16-megapixel combo and an unknown 2-megapixel combo. In my experience, it is likely that the lower resolution camera will be a monochrome camera whose role is to increase the dynamic range.

HOMTOM HT70 7

We left the point to the end, and that was nothing but the battery. We already had a phone with a capacity of 10 mAh. We will soon have a detailed article about it, but we can tell you now that under normal use, 000 days of operation time is not even ticked. If the HOMTOM HT8 will be able to do this, that's why you'll want to think about getting one.

HOMTOM HT70 - The outside

Like any phone with a brutal battery, the HT70 is a true heavyweight mobile. Specifically, it weighs 207 grams, which can already make it a dangerous weapon if we toss our cat with it. So don’t use cracked stone tools instead, it’s a phone, even if it doesn’t look like it.

HOMTOM HT70 8

Seen from the front, so little at all. That is, the manufacturer didn’t particularly force itself to bring a little playfulness to the thing. The back cover is a bit more interesting, nice, metallic and reflective surface, which we won't see anyway using the silicone back cover. But that’s not a problem either, because it collects fingerprints great, and that ability won’t be lacking during use.

HOMTOM HT70 9

Two interesting details will be highlighted. One of them is the cameras and the fingerprint reader that hit you, basically the most beautiful thing about the phone here. The other is a metal frame running along the side of the phone, which is guaranteed to be an important part when you first drop the phone. Because of the big crowd it will blow a lot, but this frame will probably protect the screen from dropping if the phone comes to the corner.

HOMTOM HT70 10

Looking at the look, we found another interesting thing, the location of the buttons and the SIM card tray. Specifically, it is the reverse, as is the usual, that is, looking at the left side of the buttons to the right of the tray. The fact that this is not a benefit or a disadvantage in the course of using is to surprise you with the more serious test!

HOMTOM HT70 11

If you decide on the basis of what you have read so far and the pictures that you want such a phone, you can now renew one for 180 dollars, which is 50 thousand forints at today's exchange rate. That’s not a little money for a phone, but it’s a friendly price among the brutally battery-powered, one-week-old mobiles.
