Samsung has updated its NVMe SSD offering

The 970 EVO Plus Series also handles high-bandwidth applications efficiently.

Thanks to firmware optimized for the company’s most advanced V-NAND technology, the 970 EVO Plus achieves significant performance gains. Compared to its predecessor, the 970 EVO, write speeds can increase by up to 57 percent and also show better results in terms of energy efficiency. The new drive's sequential read and write speeds can reach 3 and 500 MB / s, respectively. The random rate is 3 IOPS for read and 300 IOPS for write operations.

Users can easily upgrade their devices with the 970 EVO Plus, as M.2 format SSDs are compatible with the PCIe Gen3 x4 interface found in most modern computers. The 970 EVO Plus is available with a five-year or up to 1 TBW (Terabytes Written) warranty.

The 970GB, 250GB and 500 terabyte versions of the 1 EVO Plus are now available worldwide, with the 2 terabyte version coming in April. The 970 EVO Plus 250 GB is available in Hungary from the recommended retail price of HUF 29.
