Feiyu Pocket - DJI breaks into laurels
The DJI Osmo Pocket is an incredibly great invention, but Feiyu Tech has decided it can do better! Here is the Feiyu Pocket!
When it was revealed late last year that FIMI (Xiaomi) was launching a camera eerily similar to the DJI Osmo Pocket, everyone’s chin dropped. And not just because we’ll be able to buy a camera like this, but also because the price was specifically half that of a DJI solution. Of course there are no miracles, they never were, they are lower for the lower price, but we still get very frank performance.
Then, a few weeks ago, the news exploded that another manufacturer was entering the market for gimbal-mounted Moroccan cameras, namely Feiyu Tech. I only got my head on this because my gimbal came from this manufacturer, which is simply perfect. That’s why I even started looking at the specs because I might need to get one of the gadgets called Feiyu Pocket.
The camera is currently priced at $ 209,99, about $ 10 more than the FIMI solution. His knowledge essentially reaches the DJI chamber, and even has the ability to do better, but here, as with FIMI, DJI doesn’t accidentally ask for nearly $ 400 for an Osmo Pocket.

The Feiyu Tech camera also has lower CMOS and lower resolution. In practice, this means that we are expected to get poorer image quality than evening shots. This is similar to the Fimi Palm anyway. To avoid this, the aperture value is also worse, because while the Osmo Pocket is f / 2, the Feiyu Pocket is f / 2.8.
However, there are things in which the cheaper overcomes the more expensive. For example, at 1080p, the upper value is 120 instead of 240 FPS, so in theory slow motion videos will be even slower. The display is also larger, 1,08 on the more expensive structure and 1,3 inches on the cheaper one, of course both are touch sensitive. Plus, the good news is that the Feiyu camera has a standard thread that can be used to mount it on a tripod or other holder with a screw mount. Given the thing, you could come ride with me!
For now, the paper form shows that Feiyu will be more of an FIMI Palm opponent in the market. In terms of capabilities, it might be a little better than it, so a minimally higher price is justified. For those who are sensitive to picture quality, maybe not just wanting to shoot in sunlight or in good light, the DJI Osmo Pocket will continue to be the right choice.
