These gadgets were bought by neighbors from China

Introductory

In recent months, we have seen several times what we Hungarians buy most often. Now we’ve decided to twist our story a bit and look at what the current favorites are across the border or two borders.

Being bogged down in the list, one thing is immediately apparent: they are choosing from a slightly higher price range in the Highlands and the region above it. I don’t want to guess what could be the reason for this, although I would have a hint, let’s accept the fact that in these countries, the average person’s wallet may be a little thicker. There are overlaps with domestic favorites, by the way, but the fact that there is a 17D printer among the top 3 products reveals a lot.

As it turned out from my previous sentence, today’s list consists of 17 members. True, another curiosity is that three of the top seventeen products are Android TV smartphones. These devices are less popular at home, which I don’t know the reason for, I use one too, and it’s a really good and convenient solution. I will describe why below.

Before we jump on products, there is important information. The birthday of one of China’s largest online stores, Gearbest, is due on Thursday, March 21st. On this occasion, huge promotions are expected, such as the last time it was during 11.11 or Black Friday. After that, no similar scale discounting is expected until the end of summer, or rather fall, so if you are planning to buy from abroad, we recommend that you watch our Facebook page on Thursday so you don’t miss a single promotion. We will be sitting in front of the machine all day if you want to buy, ask us and we will tell you right away if you can find a coupon for that particular product.

So the bottom line is, join our Facebook page now!

Let's see the list now!

Alfawise 32GB Micro SD card

Alfawise 32GB High Speed High Capacity Micro SD Card- Multi Light Blue 32GB

Memory cards are also popular at home, which is even understandable in Hungary, as there is an Artisjus in the country and there is also a law (or legislation?) That imposes any corner of media. This raises the prices of domestic data carriers, such as memory cards, to such an extent that we can often obtain cards from abroad for half the domestic price. Plus, we don’t just have to think of “noname” products like Alfawise here, but also ones like Samsung, Kingston or Sandisk, and quite a few other reputable manufacturers.

The Alfawise card on today’s list is 32GB, which is now the base, this and the 64GB capacity is where we get the best storage price index.

The price of this memory card is currently HUF 1513, which means that it is really ridiculously cheap. You can buy it here: Alfawise 32GB Micro SD card

Samsung memory cards here: Samsung Micro SD 32/64/128 GB

Yeelight YLXD01YL 320 28W Smart LED ceiling light

These gadgets were bought by neighbors from China 1

Xiaomi / Yeelight lamps are also popular at home, although perhaps because of the goods, they are far from being among the most commonly purchased porters. Yet, from my own experience, I say they are worth the goods because these smart lights with adjustable brightness and color temperature are really very good pieces.

This lamp is one of the smallest in the Yeelight range. It can be controlled from a telephone application, but we also get a remote control, so convenience is given. It is easy to install, consumes little, but the brightness is still okay, as no less than 240 Osram LEDs work in it. A special extra is that, like other Yeelight solutions, this lamp can be integrated into the Alexa and Google Home ecosystems, so it can even be operated with voice control.

The original price of the lamp is HUF 19, but now we get a coupon, with the coupon code GBLED752 we can now buy it from a European warehouse with a delivery time of a few days for HUF 120701.

Here you will find more information, pictures, and of course you can add to cart: Yeelight YLXD01YL 320 28W Smart LED Ceiling Light (Discount Coupon: GBLED120701)

Universal wireless car charger

Universal Wireless Qi Fast Charging Car Charger Air Vent Phone Holder Gravity Linkage Mount- Black

I never thought about how good a wireless charge is. However, since I have been using the Xiaomi MIX 3 I can only bless the one who invented the thing. It’s a crazy good thing to get rid of the cable, even at the cost of forgetting fast charging. Honestly, I don’t even need it, because when I get close to my desk and my phone is thirsty for electricity, I just put it on the charger, I don’t look for and plug the cable, I just put it on nicely and it also charges. If I have business I get up and take with me, again I just don’t have to worry about pulling the cable out of my butt.

I’ve already ordered one for the car, though that’s not what’s in the article, though if I found it suspicious I’m not buying a more expensive one.

This universal charger can be used for Qi compatible phones, essentially all phones in the Far East are such, so for Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei, for example. The interesting thing about the charger is that it can be used for phones of several sizes, but if you want to insert a narrower and a thicker device one after the other, you don't have to adjust it. The side claws are pulled by the weight of the phone, so when you place the phone on the charger it closes automatically when you lift it automatically releases the two tabs.

Although the term Fast Charging is used in the name of the product, it is good to know that it will not be on par with cable. But, as I wrote above, this isn’t a problem either, it will definitely charge you so much that your phone used for navigation won’t run out on the go.

The price of the charger that can be snapped onto the ventilation grille is very friendly, it costs 2820 forints. You can buy it here: Universal wireless car charger

You can find my article on the desktop charger you are currently using here: Itian A18 Qi wireless charger test

Creality3D Ender 3D printer

Creality3D Ender - 3 V-slot Prusa I3 DIY 3D Printer Kit 220 x 220 x 250mm with MK8 Extruder 1.75mm 0.4mm Nozzle- Night EU Plug

In the last 1-2 years, the prices of 3D printers have fallen well into the affordable category. I’ve described many times that for the price of a better inkjet, we can already buy a 3D printer, and that’s not an exaggeration at all.

Creality3D Ender is not the cheapest 3D printer on the market, but it is almost unbeatable in terms of price-performance. Due to its large size, it can print objects up to 220 x 220 x 250 millimeters. PLA, TPU and ABS based wires can be used for printing. The printer prints in 0,1 and 0,4 millimeter thick slices, so you can make fairly accurate and burr-free prints.

It’s good to know that this printer, like its myriad companions, comes to us “sheet-mounted,” so assembly is waiting for us. Of course, we don’t have to solder the printed circuit boards, but we do have to screw the frame together.

You can find the printer here: Creality3D Ender 3D printer

YEELIGHT 10W RGB E27 smart bulb

YEELIGHT 10W RGB E27 Wireless WiFi Control Smart Light Bulb - White E27 1PCS

Have you ever thought about smartening your home? You do best when, like many, you start by lighting up the lighting. On the one hand, it’s relatively cheap, on the other hand, if you then decide you don’t want to move on, you’ll still be able to use your smart.

Yeelight is smart, just as their lamp above is one of the more popular pieces, even if the price is higher than the less branded pieces. In many cases, this is not because its quality is so much better, but because these lamps also support multiple smart home systems, so if you invest in one, you won’t go later without knowing other smart things in the system, such as buy smart sockets, motion sensors and more.

So the point is that this smart light is a great piece, you can freely adjust the color and brightness, and in the case of white lighting, the color temperature. I use more of this at home, it is very good that we can use it to smarten old lamps as well.

We can buy the traditional smart E27 socket from a European warehouse for 5924 forints. Here you will find: YEELIGHT 10W RGB E27 smart bulb

Android TV smartphones

EACHLINK H6 Mini TV Box Allwinner H6 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM 2.4G WiFi 100Mbps USB3.0 BT4.1 Support 6K H.265- Black EU Plug

As I wrote, there are three different TV smartphones on this list, but I’m not going to write a recommendation on these one by one, I’d rather describe why they’re like this in addition to the TV if you feel like buying one of the gadgets.

The story started somewhere there that I realized we weren’t watching TV. Well, not by never turning it on, but rather by looking at it on essentially nothing on the available channels. There was a 1-1 movie a month on NatGeo, sometimes when I remembered I watched a show about cars, but nothing else. That’s why I came up with the idea to unsubscribe from the TV subscription that was our satellite, God knows how many channels.

The sequel, more specifically the second reason I started buying a TV smartphone was that we use a smart TV. What can't I say, I hate it. Slow like a bitch, you have to wait minutes after turning it on, for example, to print out what shows are available, for example. To put it bluntly, I get angry, but not a little, and after looking at other affordable smart TVs, I realized they were all like that. I had neither the mood nor the wallet to buy a television with a more powerful processor, especially to be happy with the current one in terms of both size and picture quality.

Mecool M8S PRO W TV Box Amlogic S905W / Android 7.1 / Stalker MAG625X / 4K / VP9 / H.265- Black EU Plug

The solution has become a TV smart. I canceled my TV subscription, subscribed to one thing on HBO Go, which I have been able to watch on my phone, tablet and of course on my Android TV box ever since. I can transfer movies to it from my Android phone, but even if I transfer it from my desktop computer, I can still control playback on my phone without the need for a remote control or anything else. Very comfortable.

I don’t play, but I have an acquaintance who runs Android games on his television. He bought a Bluetooth controller and also got a few tens of minutes of relaxation a day. He loves car racing, and you can find a lot of them in the Google Store.

So the point is, my TV is still smart, but I don’t use the smart part because it’s annoyingly slow. Using apps installed on a TV is also cumbersome and annoying. However, the TV smartener is fast, I can install everything I have on my phone. You can watch movies, listen to music, play games. I really got into TV smarts, now I’m wondering why not everyone uses one.

Our neighbors like these types the most:

Xiaomi motion and light-sensing night light

Xiaomi Mijia MJYD01YL Photosensitive and IR Sensor Night Light- White

I have written about this lamp many times. I have 3 of them at home, I really like them. Its light is pleasant, and I haven't exchanged batteries in them for a year and a half. No wiring required, you simply glue it to the hallway or wherever you want to use it.

I won’t even tell you more, read my article about it here: Bring light into the night

You can now buy the lamp for 3384 forints here: Xiaomi Mijia MJYD01YL Sensor Night Light

Practical external hard drive enclosure

MAIWO K104 USB 3.0 Hard Drive Enclosure Support 2.5 inch SSD Free Tools- Black

For pennies, we get various hard drive enclosures from abroad. If you need more capacity than a flash drive, this is a good choice. You buy an SSD cheaply or buy a used notebook hard drive even cheaper, snap it into the case and you can already put it in your bag.

The structure called Maiwo K104 provides protection against shock and vibration, but we also get overcurrent protection with it, so it’s a good piece. In addition, the hard disk can be easily removed, the connection is USB 3.0, so it can be set up quickly and data can be copied quickly.

As I wrote the price is really ridiculous, they only ask for 1663 forints here: Maiwo K104 external UB 3.0 external hard drive enclosure

Alfawise WM02 Vertical Wireless 2.4GHz Mouse

Alfawise WM02 Ergonomic Vertical Design Wireless 2.4GHz Mouse- Black

A mouse that I’m not going to write long lines about because we wrote a test about it. The point is that it is cheap, sparing our wrists, although experience has shown that it takes some habit, because anyone who has used a traditional mouse for decades is strange to switch to this shape, even if it puts less strain on our hands, our wrists.

You can find the article here: Alfawise WM02 - gamers spare!

You can buy the mouse here for 2255 forints: Alfawise WM02 Vertical Wireless 2.4GHz Mouse

Alfawise RST2056 Sonic electric toothbrush

Alfawise RST2056 Sonic Electric Toothbrush Intelligent 2-min Timing with 3 Brush Heads- White EU Plug

This is not the cheapest toothbrush, though there are some that are much more expensive. The fact that it is not the cheapest due to the large battery, strong vibration, cleans well. The fact that they are much more expensive than it is due to the fact that it is not “smart”. I use a smart toothbrush. I don’t want to say much, maybe if I launched the phone app that came with it three times, it was the last time or so in the last half year. Honestly, I don’t see much point in making a toothbrush.

The Alfawise RST2056 is therefore a good buy. It’s not child’s play anymore, it’s really strong, but there’s no unnecessary reasoning in it, its price doesn’t have to be paid. We get 3 heads in the starter pack, it can have four types of washing, in addition to the normal mode, a strong one for sensitive teeth and a massage function can also be used. It also helps with thorough brushing by dividing the two-minute brushing time into four equal parts, while stopping for a moment so we can also divide our dentures into four parts. Right bottom, right top, then the same on the other side. While it won’t take much to charge, it’s good that your charger is wireless.

The price of the toothbrush is now HUF 7335, you can buy it here: Alfawise RST2056 Sonic electric toothbrush

Outdoor solar lamp with motion and light sensor

Outdoor Motion Sensor Garden Yard Waterproof LED Solar Light - Black

Just recently, I wrote an article about a lamp like this. Originally, I also looked for this cheap 20 LED solution, but then I decided to buy a more powerful one.

This lamp is essentially the absolute base in this category. A solar panel, 20 LEDs, a light and a motion sensor in a waterproof housing. When the sun goes down and we are near we turn on. I even told you everything about it.

I think I made the right decision when I chose a much brighter and much more knowledgeable version for just over double the money, but I can see who has enough of the feature described above and prefers to buy more pieces, say 5 pieces for two for the price I I use it I also understand. There may be a situation where this is so better.

You can read the article about my own lamp here: Utorch YY030 outdoor lamp test

You can buy the listed lamp for 1691 forints here: Outdoor solar lamp with motion and light sensor

Alfawise CK-T1803 non-contact thermometer

Alfawise CK - T1803 Infrared Thermometer - White

I have a short story about the Alfawise thermometer. Since I have two little guys at home a few months ago, I bought an Alfawise thermometer, not this one, but the previous version, which looked more like an industrial device than a thermometer. It was very good! Then I nodded my fool's head because I thought I'd buy a Xiaomi, because that's Xiaomi after all. Well, I shouldn't have, and I've been mourning the Alfawise thermometer ever since. Because accurately measured, also from a relatively long distance, not like Xiaomi…

Well, I haven’t had the good fortune to try this version of Alfawise yet, but as I can see with the same capabilities as the previous one, it’s just a little smaller and looks more like a home thermometer than its predecessor. Plus, it’s still a lot cheaper than Xiaomi, so I might buy one too, Xiaomi will stay in the account.

You can buy this thermometer for 2820 HUF here: Alfawise CK-T1803 non-contact thermometer

M3C smart bracelet

These gadgets were bought by neighbors from China 2

This bracelet is either a real miracle or a top product of Chinese industry because compared to what you can do on paper, it costs nothing.

In this price range, familiar knowledge is pretty much exhausted in step counting, calculating calories burned, sleep monitor, wake-up, and alerting incoming calls and SMS. This is okay, since what are we waiting for under HUF 3000? Well, right!

For this, here is this bracelet, which according to the description knows the following: It has a 3-axis sensor that monitors our movements, but it also got a gravity sensor to make the measurement more accurate. Calculate steps, distance traveled, and number of calories burned. And now pay attention, it also includes a heart monitor, blood oxygen and blood pressure measurement. That's why I put my face down to express myself ugly. Plus, not only does it alert you via SMS, it also knows Facebook and Skype.

I would say it’s an inability to make it all fit into the price, but buyers say otherwise. Currently, 26 reviews average 4,62 points out of a maximum of five, which is more than good.

You can buy the bracelet for 1973 forints here: M3C smart bracelet

360 degree water saving head tap

360 Degree Rotation Water Saving Tap Aerator Diffuser Faucet Nozzle Filter Adapter- Silver

I decided not to write anything about it. Water-saving, rotatable two-position head for the sink tap for 421 HUF. It must be good because it is taken like sugar.

Here you can buy: 360 degree water saving head tap

TUTUO NS - A1 Type-C - HDMI converter

TUTUO NS - A1 Type-C to HDMI Adapter Dock for Nintendo Switch- Silver

It’s a very smart thing to do, but be careful before you buy it to make sure there’s a signal on the USB Type-C connector for the picture!

It’s no coincidence that the Mac Book Pro and Samsung S8 are mentioned in the product description. That’s not to say it won’t work with any other machine or phone, my Xiaomi notebook also gives an image through one of the Type-C connectors. The point is, to the best of my knowledge, the Gadget needs to know the DisplayPort Alt Mode you want to export an image of, without it it won’t turn anything into anything.

By the way, now that I’ve written this down, I even thought about buying one because I’m often in a place with my notebook where a second display would come in handy, but of course monitors with a USB Type-C input are as rare as a white raven.

If you also wear this shoe, you can buy it for 4964 forints here: TUTUO NS - A1 Type-C - HDMI converter

Closing Remarks

We got to the end of a pretty mixed list. As I wrote, most of these gadgets are more expensive than the ones we Hungarians buy in large numbers, but at least that’s not surprising to me. Much more surprised is the popularity of Android TV smartphones outside. I have been seeing the benefits of these for some time, I am actively using them, and the services they provide are a brilliant fit for the changing media consumption habits that have changed completely for me. It’s almost unthinkable for me to sit down to watch a movie when it starts broadcasting on one of the commercial channels, as well as to suffer through a thousand boring and loud commercials. While we need some change of attitude, we need to let go of long-established habits, but if we do, we will get much more freedom.
