This year is already about smartwatches and bracelets in several European countries. We still have a shortage of demand compared to the Slovak or Czech market, but it is suspected that this will not be the case for long. We can already experience walking on the streets, traveling on public transport, that we are seeing smart devices in the hands of more and more people. This is no wonder, because as I have described in several of my articles, the price of wearable smart devices is now reaching the affordable category, and their knowledge is at a level that can really be used meaningfully.
What do we use smart bracelets for and what do we use for watches?
The purpose and role of smart bracelets and smart watches in our lives are not much different. In addition to the general tasks of signaling and displaying messages on our phone, most people use a wearable smart device while playing sports.
The main difference between a watch and a bracelet is the quality of the shape on the one hand, the system used on the other, and the quality of the display on the third.
Smart bracelets usually work with a custom operating system, or say software. These are closed systems, in most cases it is not possible to install additional applications on them even if the system is hacked. The display of the smart bracelet is usually monochrome, gray or green, the number of information that can be displayed, the number of characters that can be displayed is small, most functions are only available over the phone, and anyway, logging the essential capabilities available.
Smartwatches, on the other hand, largely run some Android-based software. For this reason, unless otherwise stated, we can install various programs on them by hacking the given software, here the maximum limit is the built-in storage space. True, this can be a pretty serious limiting factor, as cheaper watches really have little storage, so if we’re lucky enough to have a calculator that fits in with the factory programs, but others aren’t very much anymore.
Smartwatches have a larger and usually colorful display. There are specimens that are really sharp for extreme sports, with serious impact protection, dust and water protection and a mono display, but in return we get extremely long battery life.
However, the more popular and more expensive pieces are not like that, for which the beautiful appearance and services such as GPS or air pressure gauge are important, with which we can really accurately measure our daily sports performance. They have the right amount of background storage to take with you to your favorite music that you can listen to while running, so overall, they’re nicer, better, more knowledgeable than bracelets or cheaper watches.

Of the 10 most popular products in it, five can be attributed to a manufacturer, Xiaomi, which is no wonder, as the company is one of the three most popular wearable smart device companies today. Next to them we find emerging Chinese brands, but also big names like Huawei or Lenovo. In the list, of course, you will find not only the names of the products, but also a short introduction to help you decide which one to choose if you decide to buy a useful and beautiful accessory for yourself.
10. Lenovo HW01
The Lenovo HW01 will appeal to those who like to feel fit. The bracelet knows everything that the cheaper rivals do, i.e. it shows the time, counts steps, wakes you up and alerts you when a message or call arrives on your phone. These features are also known to the cheapest smart bracelets. One of the more expensive ones already has a heart monitor. Then here are the more expensive bracelets that count the calories burned, not only wake you up, but also monitor your sleep, and you can set them to alert you if it’s too much time to move yourself a little. Well, the interesting thing about the Lenovo HW01 is that it knows all of the above features, but its price was still more in the mid-range, until now. Now we can buy this quality smart bracelet at an almost low-end price.
The smart bracelet communicates with our phone via Bluetooth 4.2. Its display is based on 0,91 inches, touch-sensitive OLED technology, with a resolution of 128 x 32 pixels. The big advantage of OLED technology is that it doesn’t require backlighting to operate like traditional LCDs, so it fits in with far less power than they do. The battery is 85 mAh, but thanks to the built-in hardware, the standby time on a single charge is 7 days. Dimensions: 23.50 x 1.20 x 1.00 cm and weighs 22 grams.

9. Xiaomi Mi Band 1S
As you may have read several times, smart bracelets have many features. They count our steps, we watch us sleep, the better ones are able to monitor the beats of our hearts. Of course, they also measure time, which is a pretty basic feature for them. For most, at least it is, but with the Xiaomi Mi Band 1S smart bracelet, this is exactly the feature that was left out. Let's be more precise. The bracelet measures time, only we can’t see on your display how much it is because you don’t have a display!
Now you may think you haven’t heard such stupidity yet, but you were wrong, it’s not stupid at all, I’ll tell you why! There are so many of us who wear watches on their wrists. There are many who love watches, old mechanics or ticks for newer power, tiny feminine pieces, or masculine, multi-pointer-turning structures. I also know a person who is there for cheap but large chunks of sports watches, collecting them.
Well, these people haven’t been able to wear a smart bracelet so far because it would have looked silly for two hours on one wrist, but it’s also pretty weird if we had a timer on each of our two wrists. Xiaomi was thinking of them when he invented the 1S bracelet. This structure knows everything you would expect from a smart bracelet, essentially everything your more expensive brother, Mi Band 2. You don’t know, you don’t measure, you don’t show time.
The Xiaomi Mi Band S1 can be paired with your phone via Bluetooth just like any smart bracelet. It measures, logs our activities, counts our steps, measures the calories burned, monitors our sleep and heart. It wakes you up and alerts you of incoming calls and messages with vibrations, it just doesn’t just indicate that you sent a message or who called us.
So the Xiaomi Mi Band 1S is essentially as smart as its bigger brother, you can use it even if you wear a watch on your wrist, because if you put it on your other wrist no one will look at you strangely. In addition to these great abilities, it has another very good feature, and that is the price.

8. Lenovo Cardio Plus HX03W smart bracelet
We also wrote an article about the Lenovo Cardio Plus HX03W smart bracelet, and based on experience, we cannot say that the bracelet is clearly good or bad.
This bracelet would also be one of the average pieces, but based on the name, we can assume that it can stand out in terms of heart measurement and logging. This is so, we can say from our test that the accuracy of blood pressure measurement is indeed adequate.
The Lenovo Cardio Plus HX03W smart bracelet is also capable of continuously measuring your heart rate every quarter of an hour, and is one of the problems that can cause problems. Unfortunately, based on experience on the net, it looks like the battery capacity has unfortunately been scaled down enough for frequent measurements, so it drains quickly. A bracelet is expected to last a minimum of 4-5 days without charging, and the Lenovo Cardio Plus HX03W smart bracelet may be forced to charge after one day due to the many measurements.
The other problem is the display, which in our experience is also very low brightness, so in sunny weather it is essentially impossible to read anything about it. While the former problem can be fixed through software, we will probably have to learn to live with the display.

7. No.1. F6 smartwatch
A No.1. F6 smartwatch is a real mule solution, in terms of capabilities we have a hard time deciding whether it is more of a watch or more of a bracelet. Maybe both at the same time.
A No.1. The F6 smartwatch is clearly considered a watch based on its shape. On the outside, the shape shows a real strapa watch, but inside, in terms of abilities, we still recognize a bracelet.
As you may have read in the introduction, a smart watch and a smart bracelet are often only separated by the house in which the iron is installed. A No.1. This is also the case with the F6 smartwatch. The housing itself is impact resistant due to the rubberization, IP67 water and dust protection can even be used for really extreme sports.
A No.1. However, the F6 smartphone only got one mono display in the display area, and the look can also be minimally customized. Based on the abilities, it offers just like a better smart bracelet, but these abilities have been described several times in the article, we won’t repeat them here and now again.
To whom can we recommend the No.1. F6 smartwatch? For those who sometimes hit their watches while playing sports and are looking for something that doesn’t finally break from a punch. For those who would basically have plenty of a smart bracelet, but wouldn’t wear it because of its shape, they would love to wear a more masculine, watch-shaped device armed with the knowledge of a bracelet.

6. Y2 Plus smart bracelet
The Y2 Plus is the cheapest piece on the list, yet on paper it knows most of the smart bracelets. I write it on paper because when I browse the net, it seems that a lot of the features seem like a joke rather than a fair service.
At first glance, the Y2 Plus is a completely simple, low-end solution. What highlights the crowd a bit, and even makes sense of the purchase, is heart rate measurement, which can’t be called standard at all with bracelets like these eleven dollars. The bracelet is also average on the outside, perhaps the advantage is that it can be purchased in several colors. Its capabilities are standard, pedometer sleep monitoring, calorie burning, and of course a vibrating alert when our message arrives.
What's extra, though not even extra, is a real specialty, and unparalleled in the Y2 Plus price range, the bracelet is able to measure blood pressure and blood oxygen content on paper. The problem is that according to opinions read in several places, you only know this on paper, in reality attached to a tree branch and measuring something, but that not the blood pressure is certain. Anyway, it wouldn’t be technically impossible, after all, a lot of the reflection of the light emitted by the heart rate LEDs could be read, at least on paper, because it also has a very sensitive sensor, strong hardware and very good software. It is almost impossible for Y2 Plus to have these.
I suggest that if you buy it, you don’t buy it because of the latter abilities, but because it’s priced right compared to the rest of your knowledge. Nowadays, it's hard to get air under three thousand forints, it's the price of a mekis menu, if we buy a large size and ice cream, so it's worth a smart bracelet that you can use during training.

5. Huawei Honor Band 3 smart bracelet
We suspect Huawei Honor Band 3’s fifth place on the list is largely due to the name of the manufacturer. The structure is not bad, but we would not say it is outstanding.
Huawei is a large manufacturer, able to provide serious support for its products. This is definitely an advantage when thinking about choosing an emerging brand or a more reputable manufacturer. Band 3, on the other hand, is downright flashy, though we wouldn’t dare say it’s outstandingly beautiful. Rather, it can be said to be one of the higher quality bracelets of the main stream, this statement is the most valid.
In terms of capabilities, it really doesn’t offer more than any of its better-equipped competitors. Unlike the cheaper pieces, it also has a heart rate monitor, so it monitors not only our sleep, but also our heart rate, which comes in handy most during sports. Of course, it has a pedometer and also alerts you to incoming messages.
There are two abilities that you might want to highlight about Huawei Band 3. One is protection against water, which is effective up to a water depth of 50 meters, and the second is the operating time of up to 30 days. Of course, we can be sure that this 30 days means standby mode, in which case neither the display nor the heart rate LED will consume power. At the same time, we can count on a minimum of 4-5 days of refilling with average use.

4. Xiaomi Huami AMAZFIT Stratos smart watch
The Xiaomi Huami AMAZFIT Stratos smartwatch is the successor to the hugely popular Xiaomi Huami AMAZFIT Pace, an improved edition. It comes with a whole new look, new capabilities, and unfortunately a new price, this is the most expensive piece on our list, almost double that should be left at the checkout compared to its predecessor. Let's say there is a reason for the higher price.
Let’s start there, this watch has got a whole new look. Although the use of ceramics remained in the house, the exterior became much more “watched”, more elegant and showy than its predecessor. In addition, they have improved their water resistance, which is of course essential to take advantage of a number of new capabilities.
Of course, the number of sensors and various sensors has not decreased. What has become much more, however, is the types of sports supported, the watch can distinguish 11 types of sports activities, let alone - or rather very much - that it is able to recognize the type of swimming and also whether we play outdoors or indoors, that is, it recognizes when, for example, we are running on a treadmill or street, burning calories on an exercise bike, or a traditional street bike.
Importantly, the Xiaomi Huami AMAZFIT Stratos Smartphone provides much more layered information about our workouts and the use of our body than its predecessor. It monitors the load on our body, the effectiveness of the workout, but also the oxygen uptake.
Overall, the Xiaomi Huami AMAZFIT Stratos Smartphone Smartphone is the result of roughly a year and a half of development, and it shows it. His knowledge and skills make him competitive even against competitors in the higher price category. Its price must also be measured for this. It’s almost certain it didn’t make it to the top of the popularity list just because the Xiaomi Huami AMAZFIT Bip Lite is in thirds and the first-generation Xiaomi Huami AMAZFIT Pace is just over half of it, so many more can afford the “luxury” to buy them.

3. Xiaomi Mi Band 2 smart bracelet
The Xiaomi Mi Band 2 smart bracelet is one of the most popular wearable smart devices in the world. They sell in crazy quantities, which is not surprising since we can buy them for as little as $ 20 in promotions.
The bracelet knows everything you would expect from such a device. It counts steps, monitors their heart rate and sleep, compiles statistics from our daily workouts, displays incoming messages, so it’s a really all-knowing smart bracelet.
However, its popularity is not just in its price and knowledge. One of the biggest values of the Xiaomi Mi Band 2 smart bracelet is that the housing that includes the electronics and display and the strap are two separate pieces. The back is almost indestructible. On Youtube, we find plenty of videos in which they are subjected to various ordeals, such as freezing, cooking, tossing and trampling on a block of ice, and the bracelet is not even ticked. By replacing the strap, we have not only achieved that the watch does not have to be discarded in the event of a strap rupture, but also that we can add a strap that fits our individuality for pennies.

2. Xiaomi Huami AMAZFIT Bip Lite smart watch
Bip Lite was created to fill the gap between Pace and the Mi Band 2 smart bracelet described in the next section. This was pretty much done, though the result was a bit confusing.
The watch can be tailored to our absolute taste by having plenty of types of straps, but even a plethora of top frames, so it can be anything from hippie to elegant. However, what made it a true best buy offer was that it was almost identical to its bigger sibling in terms of features and sensors. It also has an air pressure gauge, compass (magnetic sensor) and GPS. The difference is in the display, which in turn is smaller and its resolution is also less because of this.
The manufacturer, of course, tries to make a difference between the two watches and this is best achieved in the software that can be installed on the phone. Here they try to make the watch a little silly, but we don’t have to bother about it, as with 3rd apps written by enthusiastic developers, the full knowledge can be exploited.
The price of the Xiaomi Huami AMAZFIT Bip Lite isn’t in the middle between the price of a bracelet and the price of a Pace, but that’s understandable after all, since we’re really talking about hardware with a lot of knowledge. While the following discusses bracelet promotions without $ 26, the Xiaomi Huami AMAZFIT Pace is $ 130, while the Xiaomi Huami AMAZFIT Bip Lite can be between $ 70-80. Unless, of course, we tweak an action, because then the price can drop below $ 60, which is a very friendly amount in exchange for the set of knowledge outlined!

1. Xiaomi Huami AMAZFIT Pace smart watch
Xiaomi's smartwatch is a very special piece. You don't want to compare to any of the big manufacturers, it's a really extreme solution in terms of material use, because just like in the field of phones, the use of a ceramic housing is not customary in smartphones. Well, at Xiaomi, they dared to do that, and how well they did. In addition to the scratch-resistant glass, the upper ceramic frame has created a watch that remains novel even after many years of wearing.
The only downside to the watch is that it doesn’t run the Android Wear version, so it’s less customizable. In practice, this means that by default we cannot install additional programs on it. I say basically, because of course smart people have found a way to do that too, so even smaller games can be installed on the watch after some dexterity.
True, most do not do this, and as Xiaomi Huami using AMAZFIT Pace I also say it is completely unnecessary. I tried it, it worked, that was enough for me. The Pace software knows exactly what we expect from such a watch. The display is easy to see even in a sunny environment, the dial can be customized, but you can even create a dial yourself with an external application. If we don’t want to do that, we can replace the background of existing dials with a photo of our love or child, for example.
However, this is only external. Xiaomi Huami AMAZFIT Pace will show its abilities mostly in the hands of those who play sports, run, jog. With the built-in GPS, it is easy to measure the distances covered, and with the built-in barometer, the watch can also count on whether the distance traveled has been taken down or up a mountain. By synchronizing the clock data with our phone, we get the distance traveled even in map format, and it also calculates the calories burned more accurately with the help of sensors than a cheap watch or even a more expensive bracelet.
Of course, good price also comes with success. The price of the Xiaomi Huami AMAZFIT Pace is around $ 100. If you don’t have a promotion on it right now, you can go up to $ 130, but if you catch a good coupon promotion, a value below 100 is conceivable, but the latter price is not typical for the summer, but for the pre-holiday shopping season.
