To do this, of course, you have to throw away the factory refrigerator.

The AMD Radeon VII can be tuned quite well

A Reddit user named CarbonFireOC remedied the cooling of the Radeon VII in a rather radical way, specifically with an EVGA CLC 280 water cooler. In fact, the Radeon VII has a fairly massive heat output, so the three-fan factory cooler also sweats heavily with it before it drops the graphics processor to a digestible temperature. Well, based on what you’ve seen, the CLC 280 is proving to be significantly more efficient, as it managed to stabilize the GPU at 1 MHz with a slightly elevated core voltage (265 mV) while the memories spun at 2 MHz. It’s almost unbelievable that even at this pace, the temperature of the Hotspot stopped at 122 degrees Celsius and the GPU reached just 1 degrees Celsius.

The above numbers proved to be absolutely stable anyway, because the card withstood the 3DMark Firestrike test series without any problems, closing the test at around 33 points. From what we have seen, we are very sorry that the reference cooling of the Radeon VII cannot be replaced by the manufacturers, as there would be a huge potential in the card with an even more efficient cooling.
