CES 2008: USB 3.0 introduced

In addition to the many, many gleaming and flashing stands, a demonstration of the USB 3.0 standard took place in a very hidden corner.

The increase in file size and the proliferation of HD content have primarily justified the development of USB 3.0. The data transfer rate of the new standard can reach 4,7 Gb per second, which is about ten times the 2.0 Mb / s value of USB 480. Fortunately, USB 3.0 will augment a range of backward-compatible standards, with specifications expected to be finalized by June 2008.
