Brexit - Is the English warehouse duty free now?
It’s worth checking out the major news portals, but it’s best to listen to the official NAV announcement.
Unfortunately, you can read a lot of nonsense, so let’s be aware, it really doesn’t take more than 2-3 sentences. The UK, not England, officially withdrew from the EU on 2020 January 31. However, an essential part of the exit, there is still plenty left. Answers to important questions such as free movement of labor, access to the single market, and others need to be developed by 2020 December 31. Until then, the UK will be forced to follow EU rules in all respects, but without having a say in EU affairs.
So, the point is: We don't know yet if anything will change about the customs union after 2020 December 31, but it is certain that until then, English warehouses will also be EU warehouses, which means that by the end of this year there is no problem that then what will happen, no one knows yet.
