BlitzWolf BW-AP2 - the king of air purifiers

The Blitzwolf competes with the Xiaomi, but is a fifth cheaper than that, plus it knows more.

BlitzWolf BW-AP2 - Introduction

I was in the fortunate position of being able to try a larger, stronger structure with the Blitzwolf brand on it, in addition to my own Xiaomi air purifier I bought in December.

At Xiaomin, there are several sizes of air purifiers next to each other. They have a whole family of air purifiers that differ greatly in terms of performance and, of course, comfort features. The smallest is for an apartment of about 42 square meters and can clean 350 cubic meters of air per hour, while the largest has enough cocoa to clean 85 square meters and 700 cubic meters of air.

Honestly, few buy this machine because of its price, the Pro version is the one that loses more of its popularity. This is not weak either, as they write 60 square meters and 500 cubic meters at its properties.

And why did I write this down? Because the Blitzwolf BW-AP2 wants to compete with this Pro version, so it's quite a matter of comparing them in terms of knowledge and of course price!

Packaging and accessories

AP2 joked a little. I’m used to Blitzwolf’s bigger stuff coming in with a traditional but strong cardboard box on the outside, and a thinner cardboard box dressed in the manufacturer’s colors inside.

For this reason, I immediately set out to open the ugly box for photography, and then to photograph the green and white. Well, I guess you guessed it, there was no other box inside, just what you see in the picture.

There are not many accessories, that is to say, nothing more than the filter in the machine and the operating instructions. This is not surprising, there is no need for anything else. The power cord is soldered, so you didn't even have to wrap it separately.

The manual is available in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, and there are also Japanese and Chinese, but you will be less happy with these. I will, of course, describe the point in this article, so whoever wants to buy it and doesn't get along with the mentioned languages ​​will have the point here in Hungarian.

External

Well, the first point where Blitzwolf has to compete is the outside of the machine. At Xiaomin, they are extremely loyal to making all their products look as if they were not made in this but in the next century. The last little hole also has a place and is exactly where it looks best. So it’s hard to compete with Xiaomi.

At Blitzwolf, however, they didn’t give up and did well. It is probably no coincidence that while the Xiaomi air purifiers took the shape of a rectangular block, the Blitzwolf remained on the cylinder. Somehow, the products of the two companies need to be distinguished.

Other than that, at first glance (of course, if I didn’t know them), I wouldn’t tell you which one is Xiaomi and which one is Blitzwolf. You have to look for bugs with a magnifying glass, though, so we can already find some little things.

The cover is quality plastic, you know, just like an Apple or a Xiaomi machine. The top gray fan grille and side gray handles also look good, as do the controls on the cover. At this point, Blitzwolf far outperforms Xiaom.

However, the display looks best. Shows PM2.5 and VOC values ​​alternately (more on this later)

Knowledge, that is, the paper form

As I have already written, the Blitzwolf BW-AP2 is an opponent of the Xiaomi Air Purifier Pro. So much so that the properties of the two machines are exactly the same in the field of air purification. Both are designed for a 35-60 square meter apartment or room, both can circulate 500 cubic meters of air, and both can filter out PM2.5 particles. And of course the bigger ones.

A maximum of 69 decibels is written for the noise generated, which is not a small amount. I could only compare it to my own Xiaomi 2H air purifier, but I didn’t get much. It screams at maximum speed and that too.

However, there are two things in which Blitzwolf is ahead of its more renowned competitor. One is the display of the VOC value already mentioned. This is not really a VOC, but a TVOC. This is, of course, an acronym that stands for “total volatile organic compounds,” from which Blitzwolf left the word total and remained a volatile organic compound.

So, Xiaomi's structures can't measure that, Blitzwolf's can, and the company says the filter in the machine filters them out. If that's the case, then Xiaomin doesn't know why they have a special filter for this, or they don't understand it, or they want to peel off a few more skins from us.

Then here’s another curiosity, and that is the use of negative ions. According to the description, it is able to bind various microorganisms. The feature can be turned on and off from the app, but it also has a button on the control panel on the cover. Well, Xiaomin doesn't have that either.

Of course, I could not control these things, more precisely their effectiveness, their operation, but let us accept that they exist and work.

Commissioning

It doesn't take much to use the machine. The first is to download the Blitzwolf app, through which we will be able to control the structure from our phone. The second is to remove the nylon bag from the filter in the machine before turning it on because you can’t really suck in air through it.

This is also pointed out on a large sticker on the machine, needless to say, I have not read the instructions for use, as I am a macho guy with tons of technical sense érzék Scroll.

Once you have downloaded the app and removed the nylon from the filter cartridge, you can turn on the machine. With the buttons at the top, we can access and use essentially all the functions, so if we don’t want to feel the cell phone is redundant, put the air purifier in its place and use it.

1. Launch the Blitzwolf app and click the + sign in the upper right corner. (This, of course, assumes that the app is installed and we have registered ourselves. Do this, because then this program will be the dashboard of our Blitzwolf smart home.)
2. Select “Small Home Appliances” from the list on the left, then Air Purifier.
3. Hold down the Wi-Fi button on the top of the air cleaner for 3 seconds. (don't listen to the app, it says the yellow LED should flash, but there is no yellow LED on this machine, the Wi-Fi signal will flash.
4. In the application, enter the password for your 2,4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
5. Select the recognized device. (This is the air purifier in this case.)
6. Complete the installation!
7. Enjoy!

Well, that wasn't complicated. I succeeded for the second time because I didn’t notice that my phone was connected to the 5 GHz network, but the air purifier wasn’t communicating through it. He needs 2,4 GHz!

If you have misaligned the setting, unplug the air cleaner, wait 10 seconds, plug it back in. Turn it on, hold down the Wi-Fi button for three seconds, and you can go search for your device in the phone app. You will believe it!

Use, experience, conclusion

It would be nice if I could write something interesting, but nothing comes to mind. This is an air purifier and point. It looks good, if we don’t live in a mine, it won’t spin at a full turn in 0-24, so there’s no problem with your voice either. What’s more, in night mode, it’s essentially inaudible and also takes off its lights, so it doesn’t bother much water.

The phone program that comes with it is simple, but I also classify this as a positive. It's not easy, because whatever is missing from it, everything is in it, it's easy to see, I think my three-year-old sons would get along with it in approx. After 5 minutes.

From the outside, we can almost say it’s beautiful, of course, only if anyone finds a designer centrifuge beautiful. Let’s say the designers of Blitzwolf gave in to their dads and mothers to get something snug out of the structure, they succeeded.

An air purifier is not a vicious machine. We need a quiet engine, a good filter and we're done. Of course, a good sensor that monitors the cleanliness of the air is expected these days, and above a certain price, a telephone application is a basic requirement, but they are all here.

Of course, as in any case, the point is whether it’s worth buying. I have a definite answer to that, yes, and especially yes because I can compare it to Xiaomi’s product, which knows a little less in exchange for a higher price.

And what is the price difference? Well, the Xiaomi Air Purifier Pro from the Czech warehouse costs HUF 324 with a delivery cost of HUF 60, while the price of the Blitzwolf BW-AP060, also from the Czech warehouse, with fast and free delivery to the BGHU0268 with a coupon of HUF 49. That's a pretty big difference.
