Introducing the Enermax NAXN 80+ power supply family

The name Enermax sounds good when it comes to power supplies. This is because the company has been using its own manufacturing and development base to supply the market with great products since 1990. If we have enough of the products to mention a few power families to jump in for everyone, you may have heard or maybe met the Enermax unit. The company covers essentially all market segments with its products, releasing power supply families such as the Pro87 +, Revolution85 + or LibertyECO and Tomahawk series.

Enermax divided the NAXN family into three categories. The lowest is the Tomahawk II. (also like, as simple as an ax). These include 350-, 450-, and 550-watt units that have received active PFCs, two 12-volt rails, and lots and lots of protection, such as overvoltage, overheating, and short circuit.

The middle category is essentially the same as the lowest, the big difference is that here we find 80+ markings on the boxes. In terms of power, the manufacturer's 350-, 450-, 500- and 600-watt models are a bit higher.

The top category is the NAXN 82+, where 750- and 850-watt power supplies live, they have already earned the 80 plus bronze rating, plus they are modular units, which is a significant difference in terms of wiring.

The Enermax NAXN family, now to be introduced, is specifically aimed at those with a flatter wallet. This should be more of a joy than a sorrow, but given the preliminary news, our joy may not yet be complete. What is this news? The sparrows chirped that although NAXN feeds bear the marks of Enermax externally, internally, the company’s improvements are not hidden in the metal cage. The circuitry for the weaker units is provided by the CWT, while the more expensive 750-watt unit is provided by the Sirfa.

Of course, we don’t want to take the crosswater off the units in advance, as the 80+ mark needs to touch something, but we stand with some skepticism about the rehearsals. Of course, this can even go well, as a positive surprise brings more joy.

Let's see what units came to us!
