amd logoAMD is already preparing to withdraw two low-power APUs, which it started selling just over 10 months ago.

The success of the hugely successful processors has been greatly accelerated by AMD, which is somewhat interesting. Of course, the chip has a successor, the E-450, which was recently launched by the manufacturer, but relatively few machines are currently offered with this chip, but of course not because of a lack of interest.

The number two processor manufacturer, at the time it announced and made the Brazos platform available, dealt a huge blow to Intel’s outdated Atom processors, which until then had become less competitive in the market and ran into a similar bug as traditional desktop processors in the Pentium era. The AMD alternative has proven to be much more viable, with minimal overhead, capable of much higher performance, especially in graphics tasks.

The E-350 can be pre-ordered for partners at the manufacturer until the end of the year, and delivery of the manufactured products will last until the last day of June 2012, of course, as it is mainly for OEM sales, so it will remain on the market for a long time.

Another tile will also be withdrawn, which also debuted on January 4th earlier this year. This chip is a single-core E-240 that has no direct successor, so it is likely that the E-300 will take its place, which already has two cores but operates at lower clock speeds. It follows that the Sun series will produce only two-core inserts in the E-series from next year. Of course, due to this, the dates described above also apply to this tile.

Probably another reason for the dates may be that AMD is scheduled for the next platform in the middle of next year, which will be the successor to Brazos and will be called Deccan. Presumably they want to focus as many resources as possible on the next generation.
