Essentially Intel's victory…
X-bit labs released a very nice, comprehensive test a few days ago. The analysis includes all dual-core processor families currently on the market, namely:
- Athlon 64 X2
- Pentium 2xxx
- Celeron E1xxx
- Core 2 E4xxx
- Core 2 E8xxx (E6xxx series replacement)
We can also get a detailed picture of the current balance of power and prices from the work. Seeing the results, we can witness Intel’s total victory (not surprisingly in recent months), at least in terms of the peak segment by all means.
