ADO Z20C - electric fat bike, it goes through everything
To city and terrain, in snow, mud, rain, it will take you everywhere.
They have an interesting bike on sale at Gearbest, one I’ve been wanting for a long time, so I bought one.
The truth is, I spent a lot of money in a Chinese store a long time ago, but I was with him that this bike is exactly the one that knows everything I could need, so I ordered it. It arrived from a German warehouse in about 7 working days, and now that I have it together, first impressions can come!
The pictures don’t reveal the actual size, and although I knew the length, the height, the wheel size, these were just numbers on a website. Live is somehow much bigger than I imagined. Let's say its weight is telltale, because despite the aluminum frame it weighs almost 30 kilos, it's true, it also includes the weight of the battery pack.
The wheels are thick, they really are. Tubers of fairly large size help to adhere to it, but they are not so large as to interfere with rolling on asphalt. I wonder what it will produce in the field, especially maybe on snow, I hope I can try the latter this winter as well. It feels closer to motorcycling than cycling because of the tire size. I don’t even know how to suddenly explain this better, but I’ll try to explain it in the test.
The frame is solid, the seat and handlebars are well adjustable, the seat had to be lowered well to 184 centimeters to reach the foot. I don’t really understand why they put such a long stem on it, I think a person over two feet could use it loosely, that big.
The 350-watt motor is powerful, approaching a top speed close to factory data of 25 kilometers per hour, even on an incline, all with a simple electric drive. Of course, the electric assist also works, this can be set in 5 steps. In this case, you have to turn the pedal, you can use the 7-speed Shimano transmission, and you can turn up to 30 kilometers per hour. It lifts you uphill without even noticing that you are not rolling on flat ground.
I couldn’t do a range test yet, it arrived yesterday, but the factory data gives a range of 40 kilometers. Unfortunately, it doesn’t turn out to be in purely electric or assisted mode, but by the time I write the test on it, I’ll find out. They added a pre-lamp, there is a very good, frankly backlit LCD display that is perfectly visible even in the dark.
So, first impressions are very good, and although it’s not among the cheaper electric bikes, it doesn’t hurt at all, because the assembly, the materials, the usability are like the price.
