Wi-Fi 6 is no longer interesting, on the way to Wi-Fi 7!

Wi-Fi 6 has brought a serious increase in speed, but Wi-Fi 7 will be an order of magnitude faster than that!

Wi-Fi 6 is no longer interesting, on the way to Wi-Fi 7!

As everyone knows, Wi-Fi 6 is hugely popular as it drastically improves the capacity of wireless networks. Significant progress has been made not only in speed, but also in the number of devices that can be connected. Following the advent of Wi-Fi 6, the promotion of Wi-Fi 7 also began.

Wi-Fi 6 can reach speeds of 9,6 Gbps, while its predecessor, Wi-Fi 5, can reach speeds of 3,5 Gbps. The increase is obvious, nearly tripling. However, Wi-Fi 7 can reach speeds of up to 30 Gbit / s, which is more than a threefold increase over Wi-Fi 6.

In practice, this means that devices using the new standard can virtually eliminate any video streaming slowdown, even if we try to stream high-definition movies to our TV wirelessly. With respect to this new standard, the Wi-Fi Alliance has not yet begun widespread promotion.

Currently, the last three Wi-Fi standards are IEEE 802.11n, 802.11ac, and 802.11ax, and are Wi-Fi 4, Wi-Fi 5, and Wi-Fi 6 certified. The following may be 802.11be behind the Wi-Fi 7 name.
